Colton House Hotel

My first trip to Austin, Texas, was quite an experience, as I spent about four days at this wonderful hotel! My film was showcased at Fantastic Fest, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. The hotel host was exceptional, and the staff were incredibly friendly! I would definitely return without hesitation.

Very nice place to stay with your family nice spacious rooms with all the amenities access to shopping and walking and the staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, our new favorite in Austin. Simultaneously cozy and elegant, with a perfect late night bar manned by a knowledgeable, engaging bartender. *** with breakfast though?! “French toast” that was actually just toast with an upcharge, served on nice plates with paper cocktail napkins and cheap plastic utensils. PLASTIC utensils??!! Do better yall! Would never recommend nor book Simone’s for any meal based on this weird and disappointing experience.

Absolutely love this hotel! It’s so clean, elegant and quiet. It was exactly what we were looking for. Christian and Neal treated me like family. I’m so thankful they were able to squeeze me and my family in today.

What a hidden gem! The hotel was phenomenal from the spacious and well equipped rooms to the super helpful staff. Shoutout to Neal for a warm welcome and helping me take advantage of the in room red light therapy and infrared sauna blanket! Wish I had more time here but I’ll be back…just for fun next time! Enjoyed the additional lounge/library with a coffee shop vibe and kept up my routine in the well equipped gym!

My first reservation never went through and when I realized I had received no confirmation that morning, I tried to call to check. I was given at least seven different numbers from 10 customer service people who I spoke to, none of whom was helpful and all they could do was transfer me over and over again. I was so aggravated that I could not reach the front desk that I finally drove over to the hotel. The front desk did NOT have my reservation (the day before I was told I had one) and he seemed to be unapologetic and bothered by me, the customer who showed up in person . I was on an emergency visit to Austin and not happy that he showed no concern. We went back to the room that evening and got a room on the driveway to the parking lot which was annoying. I asked for two binder clips too in order to get the curtains to close and keep out the morning sunlight the next day. The person at Simona's, the coffee bar, was very pleasant thankfully and I felt like someone treated me like a guest. However, the hotel needs to get their act together. Disappointing.
