Excellent room and stay. We’re fortunate enough to not only get some ocean views but on arrival they gave us an early check in as our room was ready ! Our new favorite place to stay and we will be back !

The Metropole has a good location right on the shore and in the heart of the shopping and dining district. Front desk was friendly. Accommodations in Avalon are expensive as is The Metropole for what is offered. Our room was spacious and well appointed, but he room was down a long, unattractive exterior hallway and right outside a refuse disposal shute. As a result there were flies in the corridor and in our room. Not pleasant. The Metropole provides a basic continental breakfast in their lobby area; there isn't really any place to sit down and eat; plan on taking back to your room.

Hotel Metropole was great! It is conveniently located near all of the shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious and we really enjoyed the balcony. It was very quiet when we were there, but it was the off season so not sure how noisy it might be during prime time. The breakfast was great!

I loved the Spa! Amazing service. Very clean and nice room. Perfect fire place to keep it nice and cozy. I enjoyed my stay. Front desk receptionist was extremely nice and helpful, made us feel extremely welcomed.

Charming hotel at the north end of downtown Avalon. Pros:Short walk to ****** and restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was modest but tasty. Beds were comfortable. Cozy fireplace for a chilly winter night. Upgraded toiletries were a pleasant surprise. Cons: Room faced busy courtyard where we were woken several times by patrons. View was of a wall. Bathroom clearly had water damage with pealing wall paper and rotten floorboards. Age of building was evident by the warped floors. Very few electrical outlets. Spotty WiFi. Normally this is not an issue, but Catalina has very limited cell coverage for anyone who doesn't have Verizon, so I was unable to receive some work emails or research activities while there.

Thank you for a superb service and very accommodating. Got there early before check in time and weather was freezing cold. I asked the front office to check in early and if they can give us half day price. He immediately checked on all the rooms and get me one. Thank you so much for the kindness and thoughtfulness. Will definitely be back soon.
