We chose Hybla Major B&B because it was very affordable, at an excellent location, and the ratings were super! And everything was true!!! Gabriele, the owner, got in contact with us before to explain the check-in process. Everything went smooth and we easily checked into our room #2 at Hybla Major three nights ago. The room was simple yet immaculately clean as was the bathroom. Towels were provided and they smelled good (that's a maybe tiny thing to add but it's important to me). We didn't book the breakfast (we wanted to be free and hungry enough to eat whatever we see "out there" 😂) but we saw the buffet that was waiting for the breakfast-ers earlier in the morning and it looked very good ... 🥐 ☕
Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take pictures of this cute little place, but I will do next time when we go there again. Because: Avola is such a lovely little Sicilian town that we go back and visit again and we'll stay at Hybla Major for sure - that should be convincing enough! 😉
Anyways, I will add a few pictures of Avola, so you know how beautiful it is!

Perfect place
Perfect accommodation for those wishing to explore the eastern-southern part of Sicily. 20 minutes drive to Noto and further to Modica and Scicli. The place is located 2-minute walk from Avola city centre, a lot of shops nearby and free parking on the street (easy!). The room is perfectly clean, comfy beds, fridge and kettle. Super good communication with the owner, I arrived after 20:00 and easily got into the room with directions received beforehand. I would come back :) Thank you!

Great renovated hotel in a small sleepy town of Avola with an easy access to free beaches, free street parking. Nice helpful hostess and her staff. Luxury rooms, good continental breakfast, quiet area for a very small price! I strongly recommend it. In case you drive a car and want to visit sights in neighboring Syracuse, do not fall for expensive options in Syracuse, stay in this hotel and simply drive very short distance to Syracuse and use historical area available parking and walk to all major sights.

Ho scelto questo b&b prima di partire per le ottime recensioni sulla colazione. Confermo la cosa. Le colazioni sono preparate dalla gentilissima sig.ra Antonella che con un’ottima esperienza ogni giorno ci ha fatto trovare una colazione diversa con prodotti a km 0, adatti anche per chi ha intolleranze alimentari ed allergie , come mia sorella . Il figlio Gabriele oltre ad essere un ottimo oste e’ anche un “gattaro” !!!! Cosa da non poco conto purtroppo in certi paesi qua al sud. Insieme ad amici sfama e cura i gatti per le strade di Avola , li accoglie e cerca adozioni per loro!!! Tanti complimenti , hai tutta la nostra stima. Il b&b è pulito, accogliente .. non manca niente .. e’ vicino al centro ed al mare. Se dovessimo tornare in Sicilia sicuramente torneremo qua! Ci siamo trovati come in famiglia !!! Siamo stati in questo b&b consigliatomi da mia figlia che ci era stata l’anno scorso. Il b&b si trova ad avola posizione strategica per visitare Modica, Portopalo, Marzamemi, Noto, Siracusa e Catania. Pulito, ordinato, colazione ottima con dolci, biscotti e yogurth tutto fatto in casa. Proprietari gentili e disponibili. Consigliatissimo. Grazie da Paola, Andrea, Giovanna e Attilio.

Piacevole scoperta, il b&b è molto curato, la colazione buona, praticamente tutti i dolci fatti in casa, compreso yogurt, marmellate, biscotti e specialità locali, si trova sia la parte dolce che quella salata e frutta fresca. Camera e bagno entrambi sufficientemente ampi e sempre ben puliti ed in ordine, insonorizzazione delle stanze buona. Posizione perfetta, vicino al centro di Avola e alla spiaggia, ma sopratutto in posizione strategica per visitare la zona che va da Siracusa a Portopalo ma Catania è raggiungibile in poco più di un ora di auto. Proprietari molto accoglienti e attenti al cliente. Parcheggio libero ma con buona probabilità di posti auto proprio di fronte l'entrata della struttura
