Best Western Meloch Hotel

I made reservation for this hotel for 24th-26th August, 2021 but on getting to the hotel at about 4:30pm on the 24th of August, 2021, I was informed by the reception that even though I had a reservation, there is no room for me as the hotel is fully booked. Meanwhile, I made my reservation about 3 weeks before my scheduled travel date and I did not receive any message that my reservation has been cancelled. You can then imagine my disappoin**ent. My disappoin**ent increased when Hotel.ng the online booking firm that I made the reservation through called me a day later to find out how I am enjoying my say in the hotel. They said that the hotel confirmed my reservation and never got back to them on any issues. This is a big flaw in management which will definitely affect my use of the hotel in future or recommending it to any one.

Thus Meloch hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I kept imagining how it passed being in the Best Western (Bw) group. For the past 3 hours today 26th July 2023 at the Best Western Hotel (.meloch) in awka, Anambra state held its guests hostage by not having water running in the hotel for almost 3hrs. They couldn't even make efforts to serve customers water in rooms.

Hi everyone. I don't always write reviews, and even when I do, I usually take time to reflect on my experience to make sure that it aligns with my reviews. Honestly, I had the worst experience at Meloch Hotel at Awka. It was one problem after the other, starting from the first night we checked into the hotel. On our first night in a suite, we had an issue with the shower head not working well. Someone came around and attempted to fix it, but the repair was unsuccessful. We were transferred to another suite the following day. While we were there, we lodged friends and family members. One of our rooms did not have light for two whole days. The maintenance guy was sent to the room after multiple calls to reception. He came and promised to fix it but apparently couldn't because my brother-in-law had to stay in his hotel room with no light for two days and his window open for ventilation. One of our friends who had lodged there had to change her room because of the smell from the toilet. While everyone was complaining, I was trying to calm them down. This was despite my bedroom in the suite getting flooded due to the AC malfunctioning. The whole bed was soaked with water from the air conditioner. I called the front desk, and maintenance guys were sent to the room at about 7-8 pm. They came to the room and fixed the AC. We were assured they would get us a new bed in the morning since ours was soaked. To get some sleep, they turned our bed upside down. Nobody ever came to change the bed the next day, and when I questioned the cleaner about it, it was apparent that he didn't even know about the incident. The straw that broke the camel's back and made us check out early was that our suite didn't have light for an entire night. We returned to the hotel, and the lights in the room wouldn't turn on. We called the front desk again, and they sent someone. After several attempts to fix it, our room was still in darkness. At this time, I was mad and frustrated with the quality of service at this hotel. I was ready to go and decided to spend the night in the darkroom before checking out the following day. I checked myself and my family into the Hilton hotel and enjoyed our experience there. So sorry for my lengthy explanations, but I won't be recommending Meloch hotel at Awka to anyone!
