Welcoming host. Cosy and comfortable room. Everything you need. Exceptional breakfast. Nice pub within walking distance for an evening meal and drinks. Coffee machine in the communal area provided lovely selection of hot drinks, my husband wants to buy one

Richard owner was very helpful with everything we needed for a hotel stay even checking in a bit early... Would definitely visit again the walking is spectacular , breakfast was well worth the wait great selection of continental & fabulous cooked included 😋

We picked this accommodation because of the reviews that it had received. I can honestly say we were not disappointed. A lovely welcome from the proprietor when we arrived. The room was everything you could wish for, the bed and pillows were so comfy and we had a brilliant nights sleep. The bathroom facilities were excellent. Finally the full cooked breakfast in the morning was delicious . I would certainly recommend this bed and breakfast, you will not be disappointed.

This is a real find! A wonderful place to stay whether for a night's stay for business like myself, or to use as a base to explore the surrounding area, including Cheddar Gorge. The hospitality from Graham was excellent as were the rooms and general facilities!

Very comfortable room with unique character. Good breakfast with homemade bread and lovely homemade jams and marmalade. Lounge available for guests with coffee machine, games, maps etc. All administration very efficient and thorough. Convenient pub across the road with good food for dinner.

My wife and I stay in many hotels around the UK, this one takes the top spot, Graham the proprietor has thought out the whole thing very well, from pastimes for the wet days ( not that you get those in Somerset, but they do get occasional liquid sunshine) through to everything you may need, corkscrews, spare plates and cutlery for any takeaways you fancy , right up to home made bread and marmalade in the breakfast room. This place is a must if you are down in this area, great walks from the Old manor house, a house that within a few hours will feel like your home, and a pub a short walk away that serves excellent food and beer

Very clean,large rooms and well fitted bathrooms.Breakfast all homemade by Graham,the proprietor,and were excellent.Interesting old bulding very well looked after and near to Axbridge which is an historic small town with wonderful ancient buildings Good parking on site,including electric chargers

Myself and my partner stayed here for a night, and ended up really enjoying our stay so we booked again for the following night. We really couldn’t fault the B&B, it was clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking and the late night check in was easy. Everything was well thought out, and the coffee machine in the lobby was a lovely touch (which made delicious hot chocolate). Breakfast both mornings was great, and the homemade bread and jams were both very nice additions. We were really impressed with the jams that we ended up taking some back home with us. Graham was super attentive at breakfast both mornings, clearing away any used plates, and topping up the continental area as needed. I’d say the only downfall was that we could hear a fair bit of noise from our room. For example on our second night the guests staying in the room opposite arrived back to their room in the early hours of the morning, and we could hear them arguing, slamming doors, walking around on the wooden floorboards in high heels etc, so we struggled to sleep for a few hours that night. But don’t let this put you off staying at this B&B (I’m sure most guests would have more respect and this isn’t a common issue!) Overall we really enjoyed our stay here, the B&B is situated in a good location - very close to cheddar. It’s spotless, has comfy beds, a good shower and the breakfast is great. We would definitely stay here again.
