Kates Farm Bed and Breakfast

Kate is an amazing human being as well as hostess, she made me feel at home and was an excellent as well as interesting proprietor.

Kate made us very welcome and agreed plans for breakfast before we headed off to meet friends for supper

This was a peaceful location for an overnight stay and we loved the area around Kate's Farm. Beautiful countryside and an interesting old farmhouse made our stay a happy one. Kate made the most delicious breakfast and we were comfortable for our one night stay in this fabulous farmhouse.

It was a very pleasant place, a bit surprised to have a room down stairs where our door was right next to the breakfast tables / lounge area. I felt we didn't have any privacy and I found myself whispering, although no one could probably hear us. The bedroom itself was clean and we had a door that went straight into the garden. The bedroom layout was a bit weird though. Nothing that is detrimental but odd. The toilet and sink were in one room with the kettle and tea/coffee, then the 'bedroom' in the centre and the shower and wardrobe on the other side of the room in another little room. Like I said it wasn't bad and wouldn't stop me going there again it just seemed the bathroom was in 2 halves! Sadly, the hot water failed but we were offered to use a shower in another room. Breakfast was wonderful. Kate is lovely. The dogs are gorgeous and in general the place/farm is a very pleasant environment.

Just had 1 night at Kate's, Couldn't have had a more different experience to the previous review and rating of 1! We definitely would rate this a 5/5! Kate was very welcoming, Couldn't do enough for us, wonderful welcome, lovely ground floor room with access directly to huge comfortable lounge and roaring log burner, all very cosy and relacing! Room had everything we needed and bonus was it opened out onto beautiful garden with bench to sit and chill on. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choices and served with a smile promptly at chosen time, what more could we ask for! Set us up for the day before spending a day at River Cottage doing a Stag willow making course. Kate helped us with directions which made our journey to River cottage quick and easy! Plus welcome from Kates 2 lovely little dogs! We will definitely be back! Thank you Kate for a fab stay! Cath & Derek x

Great stay with Kate at her farmhouse Bed and Breakfast. She's a lovely character and it's a beautiful farm set in the Devon countryside.

This is a character property with some interesting features.We arrived early but this was not a problem, and were warmly welcomed by Kate. The accommodation was just what we wanted for an overnight stay. We enjoyed our breakfast which was nicely cooked and presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

We loved our stay. Our little dog made friends with Kate's (even though ours is a little pickle, he made himself *right* at home!) Breakfast was amazing, children raved about it for the rest of the day. Kate was kind and helpful, setting is beautiful. Only disappointment is we didn't find Kate's b and b years ago.

We have just enjoyed a night away at this lovely, unique and completely individual bed and breakfast. Kate was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb and we were made to feel welcome at all times. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment and if I have the chance I would choose to go there again.
