Travelodge Ayr

This in the UK is labelled a budget hotel so I was not expecting much. The staff were friendly and helpful. No fridge in the rooms and only 30 mns. of free wifi were a downer. Great access for A77 and a very good restaurant next door as Travelodge don’t do food. Room rates are fine for budgets but if they increased their room rates above £60 per night their would be a backlash.

Stayed here for a wedding in Ayr...lovely comfy beds etc...AND half the price of Premiur Inn that was across the road

Stayed here for one night as a stopover before we headed further into Scotland. Room basic but clean. Bed was comfy but the bathroom looked a bit tired but was functional. We paid for a breakfast box which was very basic but at least we had something to eat before we headed off. The guy on reception recommended the restaurant next door to eat and that was lovely.

Absolutely perfect hotel and location for Ayr Town Centre, the staff are so helpful and attentive, rooms are fresh , clean and modern, everything you need for an overnight or a weekend sleep over.

My wife and I recently booked 2 night in the Travelodge in Ayr, room 217. Its ideally located just off the A77 and the parking is free. We were checked in by the friendly Helen at reception. Access to the rooms is particularly secure, the lift is only accessed by your room card and reception is manned 24/7. The room was a standard room with king bed and all bedding was very clean. It is a traditional Travelodge room and we had no issues during our stay. I would return to this hotel and recommend it

My stay at Ayr was one of the best stays I’ve had at any hotel. Fraser the hotel manager was friendly and attentive, even helping us get a reliable taxi as we were attending a wedding locally. Hotel was very clean.

We were delayed by several hours due to ferry being delayed and a road closure from the ferry port. The computer was rebooting, so I had to wait for a key. When we got into our room someone was walking about for some considerable time in the room above, I believe it may have been the night porter as he was coming upstairs at the same time as myself. Bearing in mind this was after 3am after our delay There were also several long hairs in the shower, which I took pictures of.

It was my first time in Ayr and it didn’t let me down. The staff at the travelodge were so lovely and their knowledge of the local area was great and the room was lovely and it was quiet as well what’s a bonus

Great check in with helpful female and welcoming. Accessable room next to reception and spotless and roomy! Everything working and good shower with plenty towels. ......Even got a cheerful goodbye when I checked out early. Mostly travellodge is a good standard but what sets it apart is a friendly manner which I don't always experience however I would return here!
