The hotel was a reasonable price but it was made apparent why, when reflecting on my stay here. The breakfast was okay but the evening meals were inedible. Do not expect any traditional Austrian food which you would get on the slopes. In the end we chose to eat out over eating in the hotel, which made up for the reasonable price that was advertised. Alongside the low standard of the food, the staff were not very hospitable and sometimes quite rude. Myself and other members of the party got quite bad food poisoning from the food one night, when we addressed with a member of staff they tried to blame the altitude. We know other guests had similar issues, so it wasnt just unique to our group. If you want a cheap night stay, in a decent location then I would recommend but do not go half board and subject yourself to the evening meals.

The hotel is a little old. The reception hall is cold and does not necessarily make you want to stay. The rooms are large and clean. Too bad the bathroom is not equipped with a newer shower than the bathtub with an outdated curtain. The room, however, is very poorly soundproofed, both outside and inside. Only a door separates the rooms and you can hear everything the neighbor says. Outside, if you want to go to bed before 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings, forget it! The bar next door has entertainment, with the added bonus of stupid techno music on Friday evenings. It's very unpleasant when you are with children and you end your week, wanting to have a decent night's sleep before hitting the road again. A large family hotel like this could have avoided this kind of spectacle. The most disappointing thing remains the evening meal. There is no variety, always the same salads for starters and only one dish for dinner. If you don't like it, you can only opt for pasta with tomato sauce (mozzarella or a few vegetables are added to give the illusion of one day to the next). Only one dessert is offered (with a few fruits on the side at most). To end on a positive note, it is necessary, the swimming pool is a plus after skiing and the hotel staff is friendly and rather welcoming.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is nicely located. Friendly staff Unfortunately, the entire hotel smells musty and like sewage on the ground floor, the food was very poor, the sauna is only available to a limited extent (between 4 and 7 p.m.) and the bar only opened at 6 p.m. Because the evening meal was so bad, we went to eat a la carte in the associated restaurant, where the food was excellent! As a result, we incurred more costs, which we thought we would save with the attractive price of the stay. Do not recommend this hotel!

I do not recommend. I was in january 2024. From the start we had the impression that we are not welcome, the hotel staff was not friendly. Every day the same thing at the breakfast, 6 days. One toaster for 200 persons . Very bad coffee. At dinner the same thing , not very diverse. The room very old, not painted for decades, good space. Superficial cleaning. Old and dirty carpet in the room. Hotel in good location. Parking next to the hotel, paid parking, not included ( 28 euro a week). Low temperature at the pool. 32 for the water , 20-23 ambient air. Some friends of us had to change the room because was wet! And onother family had problem with electricity. Even if the price was ok I won’t come back, I prefer to pay more and have better conditions. Free entry at the pool and sauna but we had to pay at the reception the bathrobe. At the pool just one old hairdryer. Overall I do not recommend.

My last stay at the Elisabethpark was in 2021, during the pandemic. According to hotel management, the service and quality deficiencies at the time were due to the pandemic. So I decided to try again in 2023. A lot has happened in Bad Gastein in the meantime, new quality hotels have opened, the place is coming to life. I hoped that this would also have an impact on the Elisabethpark, but I was bitterly disappointed. It is even worse now than in 2021. The whole building smells musty, as if it hadn't been aired for years. In 2021 there were still limited opening times for the sauna and steam bath (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.), in 2023 this area will be closed completely. The reception is closed from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. If you want to leave during this time, you have to climb a steep staircase to the ski depot and leave the hotel through a side exit. In the dark corridors, some of the lightbulbs are broken, elevators are out of order, etc. I don't understand how a hotel like this can maintain its 4-star rating. It was definitely my last stay there.

Terrible environment. Mixed style between old and modern. It smells terrible. Rude and uncooperative staff. Only the owner slash director is saved. At 10pm the doors close and access is only possible from one side with a code. Poor food with little choice and low quality. Not recommended given the price paid. Very dilapidated environment I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN Bad environment. Mixed style between old and modern. It smells awful. Rude and uncooperative staff. Only the titular bar director is saved. At 10pm the doors close and access is only from one side with a code. Poor food with little choice and low quality. Not recommended for the price paid. Very run down environment I WILL NEVER GO BACK

Situated in an excellent location…2 minutes walk from the fantastic waterfalls, 5 minutes walk from the bus stop, the station, the wonderful Felsentherme. The rooms are very large and the structure also has an indoor swimming pool, saunas, Turkish bath and relaxation area... what can I say? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Just back from a week stay. Hotel is nice and clean, pool facilities and sauna etc adequate. Food was plentiful and pretty tasty. Breakfast especially had plenty of buffet choice. Unlike some other reviews here I would say the staff were the highlight of the stay. Friendly and helpful without being too overbearing. The only comment I would make is that if skiing/boarding the walk up to lifts is steep... so either accept the queue for the hotel shuttle (at most 15-20 mins) or take the skibus from 50 metres along the road. All in all would definitely return.
