Cobwebs as old as the hotel. Broken window frames, carpets that probably date back to the Wilhelminian era, just to mention the obvious defects. Housekeeping who simply ignore the “do not disturb” and then become cheeky when you throw them out of the room. As old and venerable as the hotel is, an update on all fronts is urgently needed.

After the hotel had been renovated, I made a second attempt after a less than convincing stay. Unfortunately, the hotel does not meet the expectations of a 4* hotel. I initially asked for a quote via email. The only response I received was standard offers. Special offers like those on the internet were not offered (= not customer-oriented), so I booked online. Checking in was problem-free. The outdoor area for the junior suite I had booked left a lot to be desired - it was hardly possible to use it, and not at all inviting. Unfortunately, requests and a repeated complaint were only understood by the foreign staff after very long explanations, and ultimately not dealt with. The hotel manager was definitely not there for his customers. I have not experienced such an arrogant manner for a long time. I received feedback from other guests that the esteemed Mr. Brandstetter was not available to speak to these long-standing guests at all to discuss defects and requests personally. I have also been a guest at the neighboring Hotel Fürstenhof. I experienced very good service there. The main reason for booking at the Parkhotel was the bathrobe corridor, which allows you to easily reach the thermal baths at any time. All I can say is - never again. I'd rather walk across the parking lot to the thermal baths in my bathrobe.
