I knew the moment we opened the front door I had made a mistake. The smell of this hotel was pungent. Not just old, but old, musty, and downright putrid. Old style, lacked nice furnishings. Did I mention horrible air quality? Allergies went wild. Clothes stink from this hotel. Breakfast was ok, though. That’s why I didn’t give the lowest rating. Also note, front desk is not manned 24 hours. Must check in by 8p. Metal key to open and lock your room door (and the front door if you come and go) after 8pm.

sehr großes Zimmer, sogar mit Kühlschrank
Betten, die man so selten hat, ordentliche neue Kissen und Daunenbetten, dazu Lattenroste mit verstellbaren Kopf- und Fußteil. Auch Parken war okay, freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption, sehr empfehlenswert

Der Balken am Boden des Zimmers, gleichfarbig mit dem Fussboden, führte zu einem heftigen Sturz meiner Frau, der relativ glimpflich verlief, nur schmerzhafte Prellungen der linken Körperhälfte (ich habe diesen Vorfall dem Herrn an der Rezeption beim Check out mitgeteilt, Reaktion: Schulterzucken.). Leider ein Schatten auf der Erinnerung an einen angenehmen Aufenthalt mit einem angenehmen höflichen Personal in diesem Hotel.

Nach einem stressigen Wochenende sind wir an einem Sonntagabend im Hotel angekommen und wurden sehr freundlich von Herrn Enrico begrüßt. Unsere Fragen zu Ausflügen ect... konnte er alle beantworten und mit entsprechendem Material fuhren wir dann mit dem Fahrstuhl auf unser Zimmer. Wir hatten eine "Deluxe Familien-Suite mit 2 sep. Schlafzimmern, kleinem Wohnzimmer und Balkon gebucht. "WOW", was für schöne helle großzügige Zimmer!!! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und auch wunderbar geschlafen. Das Hotel ist überhaupt sehr schön renoviert und man spürt noch den "Duft" der interessanten Vergangenheit. Das Frühstück war gut, obwohl die Brötchen etwas knuspriger sein könnten aber wir hatten das Glück den Eröffnungsabend des neuen Kochs zu erleben. Die Speisen waren köstlich, sehr schön angerichtet und obwohl wir spät gegessen haben, sehr gut verträglich. Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen und auch die Kaffeezeit auf der Terrasse. Leider waren wir nur 3 Tage dort aber wir kommen in jedem Fall gerne wieder.

Wir haben hier in sehr großen Familienzimmern übernachtet und uns am großzügigen Frühstücksbuffet erfreut. Parken lässt sich gut auf dem Gelände. Um das Hotel herum sind viele Grünflächen und direkt dahinter geht ein schöner Wanderweg zur Aussicht über Bad Liebenstein los. Alles in allem ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt.
