Cadre magnifique au dessus d’un canyon avec une rivière thermale et dans un vaste domaine recouvert de forêt. Les chambres (Eastern Bungalows) sont comme des cabanes dans les arbres. Sur le balcon on se sent seuls au milieu des bruits de la jungle et des singes! Magique! Plein d’activités sur place, canyoning et zip line, baignade dans la rivière, randonnées, piscine… et on recommande vivement la sortie en rafting qui était magnifique, rafraîchissante et très joyeuse! Enfin on y mange très bien et le bar est très beau, sans parler de tout le personnel, qui est très sympa! Que du positif!

The staff and service was impeccable. The spa experience was excellent. Marlene is the best nail technician ever. She gave my mom and I the best manicure and pedicure we have ever had. A few things that would greatly improve this hotel is better lighting in the rooms as it's difficult to see at night. Also, the black paint on the walls is very unattractive. A lighter brighter color would be so much better. The food menu could be more diverse and have more casual options. Overall ,our experience was still excellent and we hope to return. Thank you Rio Perdido.

My wife and I were underwhelmed and disappointed with the hotel but did love the canyon and scenery. For the most part the staff was friendly but the manager (or perhaps concierge) never did get a hold of us to see what we needed as was promised at check in. We stayed in a center bungalow and neither of us liked it at all. It's super dark in the room, the bed is hard, and there's no counter space. The bathroom is dark and the mirror is quite a bit away from the sink so it made it hard to shave. We did love the outdoor shower and saw monkeys right outside our bungalow. They only have one restaurant, which has the same menu for lunch and dinner every day, and there aren't any local restaurants nearby so this wasn't ideal. I'm not sure how families with kids do it since eventually you get tired of the same menu. The pools were okay but get loud when the kids are there. I loved the deep tissue massage I had (ask for Francini - she's amazing) and ziplining in their canyon was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica so I'd highly recommend doing it. We had stayed for 3 nights in the La Fortuna area (absolutely loved our resort there) and 2 nights at Rio Perdido and were wishing we'd just stayed in La Fortuna for the entire trip.

We didn't stay in the rooms. We came for the adventure day. We got here and immediately jumped on the next available zip-line tour they had. It was a lot of fun, they had excellent guides who made us feel safe the entire time. The scenery was incredible soaring over the river. We then went and had lunch in the restaurant they had. It was good but nothing to get really excited about. The staff were great and very friendly. After our meal we went to the thermal river for a quick walk. I took a quick dip then headed back to make it in time for the river tubing. This was more silly and goofy than anything else. We got there and the second we got into the river it was mayhem... In a good way... In a very good way. Everyone was splashing everyone, screaming, and laughing. We hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. We went back to the pool bar and had a nice cold drink before we left the resort. Upon leaving we were greeted with dozens of howler monkeys. They were all over the front entrance eating the flowers off the trees. It was a great way to end a fun and exciting day at Rio Perdido.

Wow. We came from Santa Teresa so we would be closer to the airport for departure and stayed three nights. This place is special. Three mineral pools at different temps, swimming in the thermal river, yoga, zip lining, hiking. We stayed in the East Bungalows, short walk up to the pools and restaurant. Very clean comfortable beds and plenty of room. The staff was amazing, very attentive and genuine. Nature abounds, it was a wonderful stay

My wife and I had an AMAZING stay at Rio Perdido and cannot wait to come back! The service is top notch and all of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our days filled with activities, soaking in the thermal river, and relaxing by the pool. We both had massages which were very relaxing while listening to the sounds of the surrounding nature. The wildlife was the highlight of the trip and we saw both howler and "cappuccino" monkeys every day, an ant eater, and even an armadillo one night heading back to the room from dinner! The food is all locally sourced, amazing quality, and very reasonably priced. We cannot recommend this place enough for those looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

We had a relaxing couple of days in this beautiful hotel. The staff are excellent, food was good, hot pools were lovely, rooms were amazing. We enjoyed ourselves in this unique environment.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights, it was our 2nd time there. Being in the thermal river is one of my favorite places in the world! Breakfast was excellent, other meals were good, and all the servers were so nice. Monica (activities, concierge) was great; she arranged for a private hike with David (excellent) to the carbonated spring. The whole place is so clean and well-kept. We saw a howler monkey very close up. He must hang around there.
