Best Hotels near Bum Bum Island, Tawau Division

Booked this Inn2 because I couldn’t see any commitments on Sipadan Inn 3 or 1. It was okay for overnight. The first time I stayed there, it was a normal small room with window facing the street. However, when I checked in again a week later I got a room in the middle without window, even though I booked the same queen room. The location is not great, Inn 3 and 1 are at better spots in the small seafront town, easier to reach than Inn 2. Among the three, Inn 3 is the newest and, after a visit, I noticed it has better rooms with better facilities. Had WiFi in room at Inn 2, the bed was very basic and sheets not crispy clean, the shower was okay as well as the air conditioning. Semporna is a tiny town with most places within walking distance, though the narrow, car-lined streets are not that clean or tidy to walk through, especially if you carry luggage. From what I heard from other travelers, very basic facilities wherever you stay, so lower your expectations then probably all good.

Overall ok la.Have swimming pool for kids to play and enjoy the time during staying while me do my work out there.food just ok.will stay again since hotel with swmgpool here veeeeeery limited lorr cause most people come here semporna go for island hoping kan 😂

Upon arrival at the airport, things just went downhill. My wife had booked a ride from Ocean Inn from the airport to their hotel prior to our arrival. Our ride never showed up even after my wife confirmed with the hotel staff. Called them and not one response after several calls. Great way to confirm everything and then leave your customers high and dry. We ended getting our own ride. Ocean Inn hotel is situated in a what I would consider a more or less slum area. I saw multiple locals finish their drinks and then tossed their trash over into the sea when there’s garbage cans just a few feet from them. There’s a lot of garbage sunken and floating in the water everywhere. Countless rats scurrying on the ground and roofs in broad daylight. The area reeks of sewage. When we checked in, the gal in the front didn’t like her job. No greetings. No smiles. No friendly service. Not sure if it’s a cultural thing that I’m misunderstanding. I felt like she didn’t want to help us. Never did. The entrance of the front desk had an overwhelming smell of mothball. In our room, my wife found strands of hair between the sheets and blanket. The room smelled mildewy. The restroom smelled like a heavily used public restroom. The shower pressure trickled. I just don’t know how some of these reviewers gave this place a 3-5 stars. Absolutely baffled!!! Overall, there’s little nice things to say about Ocean Inn except that the AC works well. I’ll let you readers run wild with your own imagination that I’m painting. I would never come back here again. Thank goodness it was just for one night stay.

Staying at Manju Linshe Resort was the wisest decision I made during this trip to Semporna, and I highly recommend it. The boss is Cantonese and very nice. Most of the employees are Chinese and communication is smooth. Accommodation: The room is spacious and the flowers in the yard are beautiful and comfortable. Much more comfortable than the hotels in Semporna town. OK: The hotel is 10 minutes away from the town's sea pier. There is a car to pick you up and drop you off every day when you go out to sea and island hopping. Just tell the boss the location on WeChat. Food: The boss personally leads a team to the seafood market to bargain for prices. Huge Pipi shrimps can cost dozens of yuan, and Samui and Dongxing Pan can cost dozens of yuan each. Three kilograms of lobster cost several hundred yuan. And the hotel makes it according to the requirements, and the taste is not inferior to that of domestic five-star hotels. Play: The boss can help you book a sea trip at any time. We booked two lines. After having fun, we decided to book a third line. The boss directly booked the ship for departure the next day at the original price. Summary: Semporna is mainly about island hopping and eating cheap seafood. I originally wanted to live on an island, but the price was expensive, so I had to book it months in advance. If you live on an island, you cannot jump to other islands. And you can only eat buffets on the island. The living conditions in the town are much worse, and there are so many people and it’s chaotic. Cheap seafood is one of Semporna’s special features. Staying at Manju Linshe Resort, you can eat seafood freely at one-tenth the domestic price. I earned my travel expenses back after eating for three days. I jumped on all three lines of the island hopping tour. Saw the beautiful scenery of the island. The seafood is delicious, and it costs the most for a day on the island. Plus the boss's home-like service. Don't be too happy with the price/performance ratio.

Probably one of the best guesthouses in Semporna area. Jono's place is strategically located near the jetty and restaurant area. Almost everything is walking distance. Pharmacies, dive centres, convenience stores, restaurants and etc. The place itself is so clean and tidy. Can see that the owner puts a lot of effort in maintaining the place. The guesthouse has a well equipped pantry. It has instant noodles, bread biscuits, eggs, tea and coffee. It's more than good enough for a simple breakfast. I highly recommend this place.

There is no TV or telephone in the water house, and even the toiletries provided are uneven. The keys are universal (because we found out that the keys are universal when we entered the wrong room, and the packaging form and variety of toiletries in the house are different). It seems that the rooms here are divided. We were divided into those raised by our biological mothers and those raised by our stepmothers. Unfortunately, we were assigned to those raised by our stepmothers. I opened the quilt at around 10pm and found two blood stains on it. It was too late and I didn't go find someone to change it. I didn't cover myself all night. I told the staff the next day and they changed it in front of me, but I Later, I checked again and there were still dust stains. Alas, it was much better than blood stains, so I just made do with it. I particularly suspected that it might not even be washed, but just patted and dried in the sun. People with long hair like me It's difficult to wash your hair and there's not enough water (this may not be possible in other rooms). Summary: You shouldn’t be too picky about living in a water house. It may be very good compared to other water houses (in addition, the lunch and dinner in this water house are still OK), but after all, it costs more than 2,900 per night. In total, It’s worth the price! There is also no staff who can speak Chinese in this water house. Chinese tourists stay here every day, but there is no staff who can speak Chinese. This is worthy of a bad review.

It's a perfect budget hotel. Location wise, excellent. Its smack in the center of everything:dives hops, restaurants, pharmacy, Gmart. Room wise, yes it's old, aircon takes time to cool the room. But toilet functions, the hot shower functions well. They also have a hair dryer. Towels, toothbrush, soap and shampoo provided. Wifi was fast. Bed was comfy. Perfect for fussfree divers who just need a place to sleep and rest 😊

In terms of appearance, it is hard not to be moved! The room is fresh and clean, the visual effect is bright, the staff is warm and thoughtful, the hotel environment is good, and the service is in place.

The hotel is not in the town, but about 3 kilometers away from the pier. The transportation is quite convenient. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the pier every morning and evening. It needs to be reserved in advance, but the front desk did not inform it in advance. The room is very clean. You can take the elevator by swiping your card. The staff can provide services in both Chinese and English. The service attitude is very good. The breakfast variety is average, the hygiene of the restaurant needs to be improved, mosquitoes flew around the table while eating🤣🤣. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and the prices are relatively moderate. Overall, the hotel experience is good.

The room is ok and comfortable with aircon and fan. At check-in time in the afternoon, the aircond is very strong and the fan is on It's a cold night, I don't even turn on the aircon haha, just turn on the fan. Amik seaview is ok. The bathroom floor is stagnant. Breakfast is not from the hotel but outside, you can choose between 2 restaurants, but the two Chinese restaurants are not sure if you want to eat even if they only have toasted bread on the menu with another menu of curry noodles/mee soup. Choose one Muslim shop and one Chinese shop, then the choice is correct. These are two Chinese shops. Add the Qibla direction in the hotel room. The location is close to the jetty, he just took the boat to the island. The staff are all ok, good.
