This was our 3rd trip back to this resort and it gets better all the time. A few notable changes are: A) The adult pool has been moved to the front of the resort to the infinity pool that also has the swim-up bar. B) Nightly entertainment happens in front of the lobby and coffee shop outdoors. C) The open air part of the buffet is now covered with sunshades allowing for even more shaded seating. D) There are more chairs at the adult pool and we were able to find seating during our stay provided we were out before 10am. E) There is a very secluded smoking area near the adult pool. During our stay we learned that a fellow named Marco was around the pool area helping seat people. He monitored abandoned towels and anything left over an hour was photographed and removed to the towel shack. The service Marco provided was outstanding and we no longer had to do the 7am towel reserve game. Our poolside drink service was outstanding. Edgar was quick to refresh our drinks and always remembered our preferences. We are buffet diners and had the best service from Jacqueline. Her work ethic should be bottled and distributed everywhere! Ernesto and Alejandro were also very efficient and brightened every meal. The buffet varied a little from night to night, there seemed to be a theme, however it was somewhat predictable. It was good though, always hot, and always plentiful. The addition of better nightly entertainment was great. I hope the resort continues to add to this feature. It was a long walk to the lobby bar from our room at night for drinks so we just loaded up our bubbas. Don't forget your thermos tumblers, they are so handy. The pool and beach are both enjoyable. We did both depending on the wind. The beach was easy to get into and out of the water. There was the smallest of gravel patches right where you enter the water that you may want water socks for, but it is only about 2 steps and you are out onto a sandy bottom. The was no one monitoring towel saving chairs on the beach, but with the help of others telling us if spots were abandoned, we always managed to get a lounger. There were a few beach vendors but a polite "No" is all that's needed for them to move along. We enjoy shopping with them during our stay so I am happy they are still around. About every 3rd night there are vendors set up in front of the buffet for evening shopping. Their prices are about the same as you will find in the shops in Bucerias. Our room was in block 2 which I highly recommend for it's proximity to the adult pool and the buffet. We have also been in block 6 and 7 which we also enjoyed. We prefer ground floor rooms and feel very safe in them. The elevators seemed to work the entire time we were there. If you have a late leaving flight, leave your luggage with the bell hop. They will give you a ticket for them. Don't misplace this! There is also a courtesy room below the lobby where you can shower and relax before your flight. Yo
