Grand Hotel Minerva Resort & Spa

The hotel is in a old building but is renovated. Rooms and the rest of the interior from the hotel is very nice and with a great view. He have nice spa area but very crowded and probably in the season with the hotel fully booked is almost impossible to have space at the spa if you arrive later. Also because of the big numbers of families with children don’t expect to be quiet at the spa . Very good meals with buffet at breakfast, lunch and dinner with live music.

HOTEL: We were there in August for one week three persons(me, my wife and my 5 year old daughter). We booked in June and asked for a extra bed. The first room they gave us was little with just one 140 bed. After talking at the reception we got a room with extra bed in which you literally had no place to move or to store your luggage. I measured the room and it has 12 square meters plus 3 meters the hallway(not ok for a 4 star hotel). Bathroom also very small and the furniture old and falling apart. After two nights we got(for extra price obviously) a suite. This was nice with two rooms but as large s the bed and with air conditioning just in one. In the period of our stay we never had the room cleaned up and the towels were changed only if we meet the cleaning person and ask for a change. The garbage was taken out by my wife and she got a clean garbage bag. RESTAURANT: The hotel is huge and was full and the restaurant was very small for the hotel capacity. In the two hours of service per meal it was very hard to find a place to eat. And the big problem was that if you didn’t get there in the first hour you had a little choice because they didn’t make refill(at all or just after the first hour we don’t know). But my wife asked for biscuits at 9:30 (breakfast was from 8 to 10) and they told here that they don’t refill. The food was not bad but not a 4 star restaurant!!! SPA : The Spa area was nice and clean, personal young and nice. The treatment area also well equipped and the staff very friendly and helpful. To summarize It is a very high priced hotel, which does not deserve 4 star for rooms (max 2 stars) and restaurant (max 3 stars).

Hotel - Renovated old hotel, rooms are pretty basic, public areas are nicer, the spa and indoor pools really nice. Also there is a hot tub and a jacuzzi on the exterior terrace, with beautiful views. Staff - Not great, not that bad. Some nicer than others, some bored, some smiling. Could be much better. New Year's Eve Entertainment - It was worth it. Good bands and singer, good food, the only thing I did not like and understood - there was no beer included, only wine. Conclusion - If you want to spend New Year's Eve in Romania, and you get a fair price, it is a good option. It is worth it, especially for the spa and indoor pools. There are some better options, but we had a good time, we would probably return.

It was a great Holiday at Grand Hotel Minerva. We spent a few days. We relaxed at SPA. Great breakfast and Nice View from the balcony over the mountains. The staff was kind. It îs a Nice hotel,so You can stop by for a relaxing time with your family.

The hotel is very old but it was renovated. Some areas show signs of degradation. The rooms are small but clean and have balcony with beautiful mountain view. No hanger in room. The food is good, buffet style, no a la carte restaurant. Spa area also is small for such a big hotel (180 rooms), you can enjoy it only if it is not crowded. The staff is very kind and helpful. The medical department has sulfurous bath which is I liked most. Most tourists do not wear mask because they are allowed. It is an expensive hotel. About Herculane unfortunate it is a ruin.

Very nice hotel, completely renovated a few years ago, with kind and friendly staff. Pleasant and clean rooms with comfortable bed. Varied and tasty breakfast and dinner. A very nice spa with many facilities. Thank you to the staff because whenever I had a request this was solved with kindness and professionalism. In conclusion; a beautiful reborn hotel where you can live unforgettable moments.
