I do not understand how this hotel gets good ratings. It was a poor Motel 6 at best. I paid over $250.00 dollars for this hotel for one night. I cannot tell you how bad it was. I wish I had looked at the room first, then gone back and left. The hotel is under renovation which it needed badly. The third floor was closed. I stayed on the second. The hallways had torn sheetrock as someone had pulled away the baseboards in preparation for demolition. The hallways were filthy with sheetrock dust covering the floor from the upstairs work. The room was worse! There were stains on the carpet which at first, I thought was dirt. Upon looking further, the stains were BLOOD. It looked light someone cut their foot and then walked around the room leaving huge splotches. It was disgusting. Someone had tried cleaning the living room carpet and just left the bedroom stains there. The pool was dirty with leaves left inside. I don't suggest anyone use it. At least, the staff was good. From check-in to breakfast, I was happy. The breakfast guy was wonderful keeping everything clean and tidy. I wish I had gotten his name. All-in-all, I suggest that anyone thinking about staying there wait until all the renovation is done. Then, perhaps, it will be up to normal Homewood Suites stand.
