Eldorado Inn

A dated building that feels cold and uninviting. The room lacks sufficient lighting and electrical outlets. No clock. No way to plug my phone in at the bed. The heating unit cycled on & off in such a way that it was tough to sleep. Bed was comfortable enough, but pillows are not soft. Internet worked well, so i got some work done.

This motel is trying to steal almost $500 from me in retaliation to my negative reviews on ******* and Google Maps. The general manager came to my room to angrily confront me. After the reviews they hit me with a bogus smoking charge, and when I edited my reviews to reflect that they tried another $187.58. Not recommended!

Fine motel. Recently upgraded, Comfortable. Friendly staff. Clean. Warm and very convenient for the town and freeway.

This property was a major disappoin**ent. It is under construction. Room furnishings were missing/had been obviously removed. Only one light in entire room (very bright) and one nightstand (for a King bed and 2 guests)- the heater made a squealing sound every time it kicked on (woke us up) and there are large semi trucks parked in a lot behind the building you could hear running all night. The first night we had several rooms of teenagers above us who were extremely loud (starting at 10 pm), called front desk to get them to quiet down- no result- went up there ourselves at 11:00 pm to get them to quiet down- no result. Tried to call front desk again but they close at 11 pm on weekends (10 pm weekdays)? Aren't hotel staff supposed to be accessible 24 hours/day? There are zero amenities- lobby only has a water dispenser and some random snacks; however you couldn't even access those as the lobby is locked most of the time due to staff shortages. I realize this hotel is very inexpensive, but that doesn't mean it should be in dissrepair and so undderstaffed. The only positives were a strong shower stream/hot water and the staff was friendly. This hotel needs to shut down, refinish the rooms, get the place up to standard, hire more staff, put some coffee in the lobby (at very minimum) and then reopen. We will not be staying here again.

Asked for 2 extra pillows and were told we could only have one extra. Passed by an unused room with two Queen beds and six unused pillows. We had a King room with 3 pillows on the bed. Seems like King beds should get 4 pillows if a Queen gets 3 so we would have only wanted one extra were that the case. Please purchase enough pillows so that your senior guests with bad backs can each get 1 extra pillow! There's no breakfast here but they have apples and granola bars. We've stayed before and might stay again. Overall it's a pretty good value.

Clean, good value. Quiet. The El Dorado is a unique motel and one worth checking out for sure. Although there are other options available to the business traveler in the Baker City area, the El Dorado was a perfect combination of quiet, clean and value. I would stay there again.

I liked the unique architecture of the motel, though the facilities were somewhat worn. But overall a really nice and comfortable motel. I'd stay there again.

We didn't catch it in time but the price was double what was listed on Google maps... one of the reasons we chose to make a reservation as well as having a pool (which was under repair). So disappointed in those two issues. Beds were comfortable but room and bathroom small. We had asked for a quiet room which to traffic it was but the fan to the heater was a racket all night long. Pluse side - Pleasant front desk and great salad bar next door.
