The environment is elegant and located on a country trail, with white cranes dancing in front of the green rice fields. The owner of the hotel should taste very good. The layout of the hotel is perfect. Get up early to watch the sunrise and enjoy the sunset in the evening. The traffic is a bit inconvenient due to the remote location, but it is easy to call a car and rent a motorcycle. It is also convenient and worth staying again.

I stayed here for 4 weeks recently. I had originally intended to travel around more, but I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable at Huts Rock that I decided to stay for the duration of my time in Bali. The position is great, just about 5 minutes or so by motorbike to the centre of Ubud. As with all places in and around Ubud, the traffic is busy. Huts Rock does a great job of masking the traffic noise with the calming sound of water falling from the water features into the pool. The accommodation is also set a fair way back off the road, which helps. The 2 different rooms I stayed in were very comfortably sized, well equipped and furnished, and perfectly suited to a solo traveller or couple. Great big bathrooms are a luxury. Each room has its own outdoor space with seating. As I was on the 3rd floor you could describe this as a balcony I guess. A further great feature of the property is the 2 zen like yoga areas on the 2nd and 3rd floors that are available at all times for guests to use. I was lucky enough that my stay coincided with a very friendly yoga teacher who took an impromptu class for a couple of us. Overall it is a really nice property. The architecture is a mixture of traditional Balinese with some other more modern influences that go to make up an impressive series of joined buildings surrounding the central pool. I must also mention the staff. During my stay there was an excellent chef present who prepared great meals as required. The food was tasty and healthy, it was a real privilege to have this available. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They gave me so much help - lifts to town and other places, arranged day trips, laundry, massages, and they were just very nice to chat with. This is a great place if you are happy to spend that little bit extra and get a serviced room and all the support you would need for a stress-free stay in Bali.

Fantastic resort close to Ubud! The Westin Ubud resort has the largest and most luxurious pool of any Ubud hotels with panoramic views of the jungle. The results are very gorgeous photos. I really liked the breakfast at the hotel. Large buffet ranging from Asian dim sum to European delicacies. We want to say a big thank you to the receptionist - Miss Vania for her kind heart and beautiful smile. Next year we will try to return to this tropical oasis of greenery, luxury and peace!

Amandari
AmandariAmandari
Ubud | 8.39km from Dekayu home
Inspired by a traditional village Amandari is framed by jungle and rice terraces in Balis cultural heartland. Alang-alang-thatched houses some with pools - all with private tropical gardens - cosset guests under bamboo ceilings their suites elegantly decorated with teak and coconut-wood. The grounds are both sacred and essential to local families; children attend dance classes here and religious processions pass through regularly leading down the steps that spill below Amandari to a 7th-century stone tiger - a motif repeated throughout the property. Follow the road out of the village to hike or bike the emerald-green landscape or head further afield for artisan villages - hidden temples and the palaces and boutiques of Ubud. Overlooking a tranquil lily pond the Spas offerings range from massages and manicures to traditional Balinese treatments. Both Indonesian and Western dishes are specialities at the open-air Restaurant or dine intimately in the rainforest with a private chef. Set amid aromatic frangipani trees and the enveloping warmth of a Balinese village Amandari is perfectly suited to special occasions of all kinds.

Eating breakfast in front of slowly dispersing clouds is the best experience of this trip. It may be that the hotel is relatively old, the toilets are not temperature sensitive smart toilets, and the facilities are average; the environment is good, open the balcony to enjoy a lush canyon privately; the service is the biggest failure in this trip, and the most anticipated local experience activities have been repeatedly communicated It was only three times that the choice of chargeable items was provided, and during the whole check-in process, I didn't realize the intention at all, only a professional fake smile. As a whole, it is an experience that is not as good as 2,000 yuan in domestic intercontinental, and it is not recommended.

I have stayed in hundreds of luxury hotels around the world, and this hotel is considered to be among the best in terms of overall quality. The location, facilities, and services are all worthy of the word ”luxury” and I will definitely come back in the future. The hotel is located at a corner of the Ayung River Valley. The exterior is integrated with the original forest landscape, but the interior is modern enough and has the characteristics of a rainforest hotel. There are only 60 rooms in the entire hotel, and various service staff can be seen everywhere busy or waiting for your call. Every waiter is extremely considerate and considerate, and many of the service details are impressive. Miss Justin's Chinese-speaking butler service is very convenient. Just send her a message and everything will be arranged immediately. The Ayung River rafting project provided by the hotel is highly recommended. Although the price is much more expensive than outside, after experiencing it, I feel that you get what you pay for. The whole experience arrangement is very comfortable, and there will be surprises when you come back. Two points are worth noting: 1. After all, it is a rainforest. There will be more mosquitoes when you ”enjoy the coolness” outside at night, but there are almost no mosquitoes inside the room. 2. The swimming pool of the Villa is very large, but the water is a bit cold this season. The temperature of the hotel's main swimming pool is more suitable.

I always love staying at Komaneka Rasa Sayang when in Ubud and have stayed there many times on my own, with friends and with family. My last visit was with my brother who joined me from Cape Town. He absolutely loved it. The service is exceptional and I always feel very spoilt by the amazing staff and it does feel like it is my second home in Bali. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud. From the moment I arrive, I am always welcomed back like family. The rooms are so beautiful and spacious with gorgeous bathrooms and balconies with daybeds overlooking lush greenery. A jar of home made cookies and fruit basket is a lovely touch. The hotel is set back from the main road but it is so peaceful and only steps away from the centre of Ubud with lots of great shops and restaurants and the monkey forest. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing surrounded by palm trees, nature and the sound of running water from the river below. The staff are so attentive at the pool and it is a great spot to enjoy the daily complimentary afternoon tea. The breakfast is delicious and has lots of variety. The restaurant setting is beautiful overlooking the pool. If something is not on the breakfast menu, just ask and the staff will go out of their way to make it for you if possible. I wish to compliment Ari at reception for her exceptional and always polite and friendly service. I did miss seeing Ibu Desak and Sitiari this time. Can’t wait to be back there again

Stayed at The Saran for a couple of nights after we arrived in Bali and it was lovely and very relaxing. Had a 2 bedroom villa with pool which was very spacious. Hotel is a bit remote but can get a taxi into Canggu in about 20mins depending on traffic. Food at restaurant was lovely and staff were very helpful.

We stayed at Dream Village for a week and have mixed feelings about it. Pros: - Pool bar area is great for chilling during the day and night with a great view over Canguu. - Staff are really friendly - Quiet location although rooms have quite thin walls so you can hear other guests walking past the room and even in their own rooms. When the room next to you or above you has the shower on or flushes the toilet, you’ll know. - Relatively clean but some parts not very good. - Room is big - Great air con - Wifi has very good signal - Beds are very comfortable Cons: - Shower broke (fell off the wall) first day and still wasn’t fixed until day 5. Still usable but not very practical. - No hand soap anywhere across the hotel. I asked at reception for some and was told “we don’t have any. We just use shower gel.” I found this to be very concerning especially after COVID and by the fact that this also means that’s it’s unlikely the chefs use actual hand soap either. We bought our own to use. - Location a bit far out from things so you need a scooter or taxi to get to the main part of town/beach. - Dirty pillowcases and sheets - No balcony in rooms so can’t dry anything - Windows in room don’t open - Could do with a spruce up - a bit run down. - Breakfast is not great. Not much selection and some of the food doesn’t look very appetising. Orange juice is watered down, there is one type of cereal for kids, milk is warm, everything is covered with cling film because of the flies… Luckily there are some nice places nearby to visit. There also needs to be more breakfast type foods rather than carbonara and teriyaki chicken. A few things need to be improved here as it has the foundations to be a great hotel but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The Rooms are beautifully set up and the pool area is picturesque and calming. Food of restaurants is very good too. Only thing to keep in mind is that if you don’t mind walking down and up stairs you need to rely on buggies to pick you (which come promptly).

SSuite RetreatsWhile the position is perfect and the service is wonderful, I didn't enjoy my stay at Four Seasons Jimbaran. Out door pool area is lovely, however the cabana is super hot as the fans are very old and do not work properly, hence unable to work outside and enjoy the pool area. Water fountain does not turn off at night, and you can hear it in bed. Dinner at Sundara was very underwhelming, again the fans not working and very hot and uncomfortable. Staff give you the menu and walk away, not explaining the menu whatsoever, and the print is extremely hard to read, with very dim lighting and no menu clip torch provided. I chose my favourite dish (Its why I reserved this restaurant) and we chose other items off the menu which sounded amazing. When the waitress came to take the order, the dish that I came down to the restaurant for, she said ”unavailable” !!! They never mentioned this when we received our menu's and then we had to change our meal plans all together. So we just ordered the selection of meats and salads (very expensive) and sat down disappointed, as I would have chosen the other restaurant or the buffet had I have known the Stracciatella/Burrata was not available. Now Burrata is a very easy cheese to make, and we were left puzzled as to why they did not advise us when we where given our menu's, but how they could not prepare (during the day) such an easy dish. When our meals arrived, they where just average. Not much love and care taken in the taste and presentation. Some meats where overcooked and other meats where tasteless. Pricing for the mini bar and room service was super extravagant, then 21% service charge added when you receive the bill. So one small bottle of bintang will cost you approximately $11.00 Australian Dollars. so 5 bintangs for approximately $55.00 AUD. Now that is a joke. Food pricing, even more of a joke. Bathrooms nice, but small. No water in the bathrooms to brush your teeth, however in bedroom only. Water pressure was BAD and like just trickling. I like strong water pressure, as hygiene is important to me. Very minimal space for 2 suitcases, so space for the clothing was under par. Pool bar / cafe is extremely hot and not enjoyable. Again, fans need replacing and not working correctly. No pillow menu beside bed, so unsure if they offer this. Didn't like the pillows that where in the room - but that's my preference and others may be happy with them. They still use the power points in the drawers! So must have drawers open to use the power outlets. Streaming on the TV does not work with any devices, so unsure why they have this option. I ended up using my iPad to watch movies. At breakfast, my team was served cold, (English Breakfast) and the loose cut tea, was to finely cut, hence ended up in my cup. I did not drink, as the temperature was cold. For 12,000,000.00 Indonesian Rupiah a night, I felt ripped off and will never return to four seasons Jimbaran. Far better properties for a quarter of the price around the four seasons. My rating 2 stars.

GGuest UserWe stayed in after arriving in Bali to get in the groove before we travelled to Ubud. Great room on 2nd level overlooking pools joining level 1 rooms with private balcony. rooms were very tidy and had everything we needed. Walk to beach via Restaurant, Bar and pool. Great walkway along the beachfront as well as a number of alternate locations for meals. Beach was clean and a nice change from the pool. Out on the street some brilliant massage locations and shopping without the hustle and bustle of Kuta and Ubud. Friendly helpful staff topped off the experience. definitely back again .

AAnonymous UserAbsolutely beautiful hotel. The largest, most impressive place we've ever stayed in. The level of service and care was far beyond what we could have imagined. Pools and beach are excellent. We visited some other areas and the beaches were quite dirty and not pleasant at all, so we really appreciated how well maintained ours was. Our only complaints (purely so they could improve that last %10) would be: A few areas were quite dirty. Felt a bit like they think no one would look there, so why bother The spa was very nice, especially the design, but felt quite rushed and not as attentive as it could be. We also arranged for the outdoor bath at the end of the massage, but it wasn't very pleasant due to the state of the bathtub itself. Food is OK. Definitely in no way bad at all. But just OK. Our room had an annoying door to link 2 rooms together, which is very outdated and quite annoying as there is basically an open hole between the rooms. Our neighbours were very noisy and we could hear everything including their screaming kids. You will also hear everything upstairs, including the house keeping carts going down the hallways. Not quite sure why, but it was definitely quite noisy unfortunately. Overall though, a very very nice hotel and highly recommended. And again, the staff were amazing.

JJoshuaRSANew hotel with lots of friendly and eager to assist staff. Their kindness makes you feel welcomed and their readiness to serve you at every moment truly makes it feel like you’re on holiday. The rooms and facilities are clean, beautiful pool and water fountain. Great spa to get a massage at and breakfast was good. Shuttle service that runs to and from Ubud Centre (only selected times, so make sure you know the schedule). Although I gave them a 5/5, the are still things I think that they can improve on. 1. Housekeeping is quite slow, I stayed at the pool one day and had lunch at the restaurant, after 3 hours I returned to my room and it still wasn’t touched by housekeeping. I also waited longer on the day of my check-in to get to my room. Although I arrived early and was patient and understanding to wait until my room was ready at 14:00 I still ended up waiting another 30mins to get to my room. This was a little annoying as they already knew I was waiting a long time and feel like they could’ve somehow speeded up the service. I understand they have their cleaning standards, especially for a new check-in. Maybe they need to employ more housekeepers to fulfil the hotel’s requirements. 2. On the day of my arrival the pool wasn’t open due to bad weather days prior to my check-in, which I totally understand and grateful they tend to the pool so well. I was however offered 20% discount on the Spa, outdoor activities etc. through a paper that was placed on my bed after I got into my room. However this coupon wasn’t explained to me and when I tried to use it two days later for a massage I was told it was only valid for the day the pool was out of service. 3. Breakfast - I understand it’s a smaller hotel and I appreciate any hotel that tries to contribute to the environment by limiting food waste by only serving certain about of dishes, however a better variety would have been appreciated, especially for guests that stays for a couple of nights. With that the buffet breakfast only came with a Balinese Coffee or Tea. This was not explained before booking the room and this information wasn’t given by Trip.com. It does however say the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea. But like many many other hotels I’ve stayed at and mentioned that the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea it usually means that there is a variety of coffee or teas available. And wanting a cappuccino or iced latte for breakfast would cost you extra. 4. The restaurant, drink usually came not as cold as one would expect it to be. I ordered an ice tea and it was more of a lukewarm tea. The beer they served was also not very cold and quite disappointing especially when it’s so hot and all you want is something ice cold. 5. The hotel entrance is a bit difficult to find, management can think of a better way to showcase the entrance/name of the hotel. Overall I enjoyed the stay, it close enough to walk to Ubud Centre (about 15min walk) If you’re up to it. It’s beautiful, clean and a little peace of paradise. RRimvydasVery very big hotel. If you like be in quite people not arounded people then tis hotel is for you. Beach enough clean now if compare how it were 1 or 2 years ago. Food tasty, there is 3 restaurants. I liked restaurant near main pool. Very tasty decaf coffe with out milk, and prices the same or cheapper than in reastaurants outside hotel. Rooms big and good. Maybe something in hotel and in the rooms a little bit old, but its ok. Good gym. Staff normal. Very cold in lobby toilets which are are fully automatic, like in Tokyo.

GGuest UserVery disappointed stay! Stayed in October 2022 loved it loved everything. This stay we were not told about the breakfast not being buffet style well at least being dramatically downsized and put out the front at Papas Beach Cafe. The selections were bland and mostly asian style nothing like it was in October and that was why we rebooked! The pool deck is a accident waiting to happen very very dangerous. My daughter room key was re programmed at least 20 time is 6 days very very frustrating with 3 little boys in tow to have to go from 1 end of the property to the other to report it. On the good side the staff are amazing so friendly welcoming and 10/10 to the chef at Papa's cafe for inviting the 3 boys into the kitchen to make and prepare and serve the best Pizza's I have ever eaten. The Alam KulKul is in a great position and the staff are worth staying for but quite a bit needs to be done to make it great

YYSL5725The location of the hotel was excellent! Walking distance to Kuta Market and the rest of the shopping areas. Beside that, there's a convenience store nearby too. Dining wise, there is no need to worry, as there are whole streets for you to choose from. Seafood, Western, Chinese, or their local. Hotel-wise, it's a little bit old. The balcony (city view) actually only allows us to see the roof of the hotel or the building next to it. There will be someone or some workers who will go up and do some cleaning, so it’s advisable to close the curtains whenever you’re not in the room. Apart from that, the balcony is a bit dirty, and we never open or use the balcony at all. Slightly wasted. The fridge inside the room is not really cold. Put to the max, but still the same. Toilet drainage is not fast enough and has caused water to flood. The lobby area, especially near the reception, is slightly warm, and you can get sweaty. This also applies to the breakfast areas. Varieties are not many. Most of the day, the same dishes were provided. .

GGuest UserWe have just completed a magical 10 days at Wyndham Jivva Beach. We are long term Wyndham members (owners) and have stayed at many of their hotels and resorts. Jivva Beach rates at the top of the list for us. It's just far North East of Denpasar to be out of the rat race but still within easy reach of Sanur and other tourist attractions. Apart from its idyllic setting, the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A special mention to the head chef Gusti who has a wealth of experience at 5 star international hotels. His leadership ensured a high level of cuisine at every meal. And Wijaya, the food and beverage manager led a team of wait staff which would be hard to beat anywhere. There are no shops close by, but we booked half day tours using local drivers at very reasonable prices (IDR 600,000 for 5 hours), so we were able to visit many local attractions. We also took the ferry to the island of Penida across the Badung Strait ~ well worth the time to do this. We were surprised that the beach (which is very close), is made of black sand ~ not a problem for us, but maybe for some. In essence, we love Wyndham Jivva and intend to visit again in 2024.

GGuest UserAmazing hotel 1 the best in Kuta when it comes to the location, standards and keeping the resort clean and in perfect condition. Rare in Bali! the rooms are extremely comfortable, with full amenities and extremely well maintained. Beautiful Balinese style with high end products, similar standards with any international Hotels. Amazing pool size middle of a beautiful landscape, just hard to believe you are at the heart of Kuta. Breakfast is one of the best around Kuta too. So much choice to accommodate large nationalities, from Balinese, Indian, asia, continental, international etc… The staff is just amazing, extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing is perfect in life and things can happened! just address it to the front office and in the next 5 minutes someone will fix your issues, including technical issues you could have in your room. Ayu at the front office is a gem! what an asset to the Ramayana. She is so efficient and professional. Same with Endra at the Gabbah restaurant - what an amazing waiter! kindness and so professional with perfect English skills…. just another amazing asset to the Ramayana. The Resort manager is new and what a difference since he joined the Ramayana - he is everywhere, extremely friendly and really manage the property extremely well. My only negative comment will be the pool water temperature - too cold , the water should be heated same as any 5 starts hotel . Many guests were saying the same things…. pool water temperature should be warmer. Nevertheless it is my favorite hotel in Kuta 15 minutes away from the Airport in front of Kuta Beach….
