Lovely small boutique hotel. Quiet and peaceful area and perfect for ppl who want a more local vibe and less touristy. Definitely need a scooter if you want independence as the location is quite far. But lots of windy roads with steep hills so a scooter is for confident drivers only. Great staff who were so kind and helped me to rent a scooter and plan some activities. Breakfast is great! Downside is that there are bugs everywhere. Bugs get into your room quite easily.

Very nice place and all the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room and the bathroom are very clean. Very nice design. My partner asked to decorate the bathtub with some flowers and they did it very well and good smell. Unfortunately we booked on the rainy day, but still the place was amazing. The staff was ready with the umbrella before we get out from our car. The food for the breakfast was a la carte, and very nice food they have. Especially the Mie Goreng. Love it! We will come back again for sure!

Very quiet and peaceful villa resort. Staffs are very polite and helpful. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Breakfast was good, however food in general was salty so remember to ask them to cut down on salt when u order.

good place for honeymoon

Think twice before booking. This is the worst hotel I booked on this trip. Hotel location: The hotel is very remote and the facilities are not perfect. The surrounding area is very desolate. There are almost no shops. It takes at least an hour to get to Ubud Market by taxi. The price is about RMB90. The mountain road is very rugged. I, a person who is not prone to motion sickness, was shaken to the point of vomiting when I took a taxi to the hotel. Meals: Breakfast is not a buffet. There are four sets to choose from. I have tried them. Each set is not enough. Even the bread for breakfast cannot be refilled. If you choose this hotel, please remember to prepare more instant noodles, because the food in the restaurant is unpalatable, the quantity is small, the choice is single, and the most important thing is that the location is remote. There is no place to walk to nearby. The supermarket in Dada, the store takeaway takes at least an hour You can't eat breakfast in the room unless you pay extra for floating breakfast There are hidden costs: There are 2 bottles of water in the room every day, and the extra ones have to be paid separately. I have to spend a high price to buy water in the hotel every day. There is a small refrigerator in the room with six bottles of drinks. There is no price tag. I thought it was included in the room rate. After all, one night is not cheap. As a result, the drinks were RMB 200+ when I checked out Everyone must drink what they bring, or drink and then replenish it Safety issues: The hotel is in the field, there is no courtyard wall, only sparse trees. People working in the field during the day will look into the room. There is no privacy at all. At night, someone will shout outside the yard: Excuse me, and then it seems to be Indonesian, which is completely incomprehensible. It's terrible🥹🥹🥹🥹 The toilet is still blocked! ! ! I really want to shout for a refund! In short, this location is really remote, please be careful when booking hotels nearby, especially this hotel. You can choose better ones at the same price, and you must choose one with better supporting facilities. Generally, remote hotels will have shuttle buses and free pick-up within five kilometers, so please avoid it.

The breakfast is very ceremonial, the facilities are relatively new, and the bathtub has a strong water pressure. The surrounding environment is good, there is a cafe within walking distance, and the waiters are warm and polite. It is far from the city of Ubud, at least 40 minutes without traffic jams, and a taxi costs 100 RMB.

Wonderful villa, we stayed there for a week. It's not that far to get to everything by bike. We ate mostly either in the villa's restaurant or in the nearest one. The villa itself has good cleaning, everything is clean and pleasant. The pool was refreshed three times a day. Would go back there again)

The hotel is new, clean, the plumbing is working, only very poor wi-fi or the network is lost or not working well. Water is only 1 bottle per person per day, there is no cooler, to drink tea in the room you need to buy an additional bottle of water from them. Breakfast is good, but the portions are not large (a la carte)

Overall, this is a very cost-effective hotel. Among the high-priced hotels in Ubud, it can be said to be good value for money. The breakfast is not a buffet, but it is also remarkable. The swimming pool is right at the door, which is quite convenient.

My wife and I decided to head to Bali for our first time to celebrate our honeymoon, and Pinggala Villa Ubud was our first stop. We knew we wanted to stay at a villa with a private pool for good value; what we experienced was a hidden gem in a peaceful home away from home. When I made the reservation, I requested a honeymoon surprise (extra cost) for my wife as well as an airport transfer, and Pinggala was able to deliver on both exceptionally. For those who have done research, you're probably able to find more affordable transport independent of the resorts, but since my wife and I had a good amount of luggage, we didn't want to take any risk and paid a ~$10 USD premium for piece of mind for a resort driver. Prior to our arrival, Restu, our driver, messaged me on WhatsApp and maintained constant communication. We easily found him, and during the 2-hr drive to Ubud, he welcomed us to Ubud and explained the culture and lifestyle of the Balinese people, and recommended top attractions around the area. He was extremely friendly and easy to talk to, and I highly requesting him if you require a driver (or tour guide) when visiting Pinggala. As for the villa itself, it is situated amongst farms and rice fields in the hills, and about a 30-min drive from the town center, depending on traffic. If you're looking for a bed-and-breakfast homey type of private villa, this is the one. It was not crowded: at most, there were 3 or 4 couples or families that I had seen in the restaurant during our stay there. The staff was extremely kind, attentive, and welcoming with smiles; the restaurant was of a humble size, but as noted from other reviews, the food quality and taste were AMAZING!! My wife and I had some food during our visits to the town center, but we felt the villa food itself was just as good or even better. We subsequently went to Jimbaran and are currently in Uluwatu, but I can say that the secluded peacefulness in Pinggala while also being within the town's reach was definitely more for us. I'd highly recommend Pinggala if this is what you're looking for.
