MERUSAKA Nusa Dua

Spent one night at Merusaka Nusa Dua. All the facilities are good, delicious breakfast, and the stafs are very helpful. Love the beach with the clean white sands but unfortunately it was raining in the morning so that we cannot go to the beach. Wish we can stay again another time. EAP.

Homaya restaurant is so good and clean. Many choices for breakfast but there are quite some flies. Although it’s normal in Bali, I expect it should be better in 5-star hotels. The room is spacious especially the washroom. The service is so good. However, I think it is too dark at night, especially the entrance. And we were so struggled when we walk to have a walk surrounding the hotel. No road lights for some streets.

Honest Review: Beautiful Location, But Showing Its Age. I stayed at Merusaka Nusa Dua expecting a true 5-star experience, but the hotel feels like an older property that is not being properly maintained. The Good: • The location is excellent right in prime Nusa Dua, just steps away from a long stretch of beautiful white sandy beach that is very clean. • The lobby is spacious, airy, and surprisingly cool and welcoming. • staff are friendly and professional. The Bad: Unfortunately, our first room was extremely uncomfortable. The air conditioning was not working properly (the room stayed hot and humid), with water dripping from the unit due to condensation. When we called reception, they sent an engineer who confirmed the unit was old and basically couldn’t fix it on the spot. Thankfully, Pak Jaya (the manager) responded quickly and personally came to move us to a new room. The second room’s air conditioning worked perfectly and was very cooling. His personal attention and fast action were much appreciated. However, the restaurant buffet was as disappointing as the first room. Flies were swarming around the food stations, especially the eggs, fruits, and porridge. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. Final Thoughts: Merusaka Nusa Dua has a fantastic location and some good staff, but the hotel is clearly aging and the maintenance standards (especially air conditioning and pest control in the restaurant) need serious improvement. Management should review their maintenance schedule and monitor room conditions more strictly. Because of this experience, I would not choose to stay here again. Rating suggestion: 3/5 or 6/10 (mainly saved by the location and the manager’s helpful response).

Absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and one I genuinely regret booking! The problems started with poor hygiene standards we even found hair in food served during breakfast. But what made this experience truly unacceptable was what happened afterward. I slipped in the bathroom (because theres no anti slip mat or anything), suffered an injury, and the incident left me in ongoing pain and the manager blamed us for not asking a rubber mat (LOL) What shocked me most was the complete lack of care and accountability from the hotel management and hotel manager (very rude guy) Instead of feeling supported as an injured guest, I felt dismissed. The response I received gave the impression that guest safety concerns are treated as inconveniences rather than serious matters. For a hotel presenting itself as luxury, I expected professionalism, cleanliness, and concern for guest wellbeing. Instead, this stay became stressful, upsetting, and one of the MOST unpleasant travel experiences I’ve had. AIRCON WAS ALSO VERY WEAK. I left not only disappointed, but questioning how this level of service and handling of guest incidents meets the standards expected from a hotel of this category. I would not return, would not even forget this experience from them especially to Ian, you know who you are! Stay in nearby hotels! Dont waste money!

Really great beachfront resort! The rooms are massive and super clean, and the pool areas are beautiful. It’s close enough to walk to the Bali Collection, which is super handy, plus they run a free shuttle bus too. Breakfast was just okay—could definitely use more variety/quality—but apart from that, it’s a beautiful place to stay.

Good value for a beach resort and love the direct beach access! Staffs are friendly and helpful, room is spacious. The only downside is the room is a bit damp and the fabric sofa smelled bad bcos of the humidity. However, the staffs are trying their best and replaced the smelly sofa to another one after we feedback to them. The replaced sofa still smell bad tho. Other than that, we are happy with the stay!

What an amazing hotel it is! This hotel offers more than we bargained for. Everything is great such as location, staff, food, activities and etc. we loved our stay.
