Fox Hotel Jimbaran Beach Bali

I rode my motorcycle all the way from Sanur to this hotel, and honestly, the entire journey, the scenery I encountered, and the experiences along the way probably left a stronger impression on me than the hotel stay itself. The hotel is very close to Jimbaran Beach 🏖️, just a 700-800 meter walk. You can catch the sunrise there in the morning, and there are even foreigners jogging on the beach – it's a wonderfully relaxing vibe. Its location is also super convenient for Bali Airport, only about 6 kilometers by car. Oh, and about 300 meters from the hotel, there's a restaurant called CUCABALI with a fantastic ambiance. It's perfect for a holiday or a date. When I was there, an elderly English couple was having dinner at the next table. The man kept laughing throughout their meal, and although I couldn't understand what they were saying, we ended up leaving at the same time when it was time to pay. Out of curiosity, I asked them, and they said it was their 40th wedding anniversary (or some anniversary). It felt incredibly sweet and lovely.

Pleasant hotel with a great infinity pool – definitely its highlight. Watching the sunset from the pool with the ocean in the background is super. A reasonable distance from amenities. The rooms are clean.

Great facilities and excellent value for money. The rooftop pool is a nice touch. It's close to Jimbaran Beach, perfect for watching the sunset. There are no cheap eateries nearby, but some upscale restaurants that are quite good. The hotel's spa is also very nice.

The hotel is conveniently located, just a 3-5 minute leisurely walk to the beach. They offer a delicious and varied breakfast. The rooms are large, clean, and newly renovated. All amenities were replenished daily, and housekeeping cleaned and changed towels every day. Nearby, there are cafes, a currency exchange, and a massage parlor. The supermarket is about a 20-25 minute walk away. However, regarding the beach, the sea is murky with a silty bottom and no waves. On the bright side, the hotel has an excellent pool on the 6th floor with a bar and kitchen, where you can order cocktails and dishes until 11 PM.

Let's start with the positives: this hotel boasts a fantastic pool with sea views and stunning sunsets. The location is great, just a 5-minute walk to the beach. It's also a quick 15-minute taxi ride to the airport. Breakfasts are good, and the coffee is tasty. And that's pretty much where the good stuff ends. Now for the negatives: the rooms are very old and in desperate need of renovation. They're also dirty, with stains everywhere. There are no balconies, and the windows don't open. Nothing dries in the room, and due to poor ventilation, clothes actually get damp overnight. The soundproofing is terrible; you can hear everyone yelling in the hallway. The air conditioning units hum very loudly; our first night was awful because, in addition to the humming, there was also vibration – it was impossible to sleep. Even though we requested a quiet room, we were told it *was* quiet. They did change our room to a junior suite, which was clean and well-renovated. The AC unit still hummed in that one, but it was less noticeable due to the room's larger size. Toothbrushes, cotton swabs, and shower caps are only provided once upon check-in and are not replaced. If you're looking for a European feel rather than something akin to Anapa, do not choose this hotel. Most guests here are Russians on tour packages. I would only recommend this hotel for a one or two-night stay before a flight.

The rooftop infinity pool was fantastic! The room was ordinary but spacious, offering good value for money. The only downside is that the location is a bit far from the city center, but there were plenty of local warungs nearby.

We stayed for 8 nights in June 2026. Everything in the hotel works, the rooms are definitely a bit old and the doors are crooked, but it's clean. Housekeeping daily. The Indonesian breakfasts are so-so, but you definitely won't go hungry. Across the road from the hotel entrance there's a currency exchange with good rates, and several cafes nearby. The beach is a 5-minute walk away. Overall, it's a good budget hotel. The only thing is there are no clothes drying racks in the rooms. We had to dry our clothes in the bathroom on the towel rack, chairs, and cupboard doors.
