Deze accommodatie ligt op een mooie plek midden in het regenwoud. Mooie ruimte, prachtig zwembad en villa’s. Wat wel wat bijzonder is is dat de badkamer grotendeels open is dus dat je een soort van buiten bent. Beesten in de badkamer zijn niet te vermijden. Wat erg tegengevallen is is de service die je daar eigenlijk niet krijgt. Helemaal van een 4 sterren hotel mag je wat anders verwachten. Er praat niemand Engels, maar ze geven wel aan je verzoek te begrijpen. Waardoor je over het algemeen niet krijgt wat je verzoekt. En dat ook niet uitgelegd krijgt. Ze blijven vriendelijk lachen en ja knikken terwijl ze echt geen idee hebben wat je wil. Je bent redelijk gebonden aan het restaurant daar omdat er weinig op loopafstand zit. De keus op de kaart is zeer beperkt en kwalitatief niet goed. De prijs die ze voor gerechten vragen is redelijk hoog. Zeker geen 4 sterren accommodatie.

Well, we had the entire place to ourselves during a lucky break in this rain forest resort’s schedule as it readied for a big upcoming wedding. We stayed in the treehouse and enjoyed the eerie but wonderful feeling of being totally all alone in the jungle — the rain forest — at night. Wonderful. But even if other guests had been pleasant, we would not have seen or heard much of them, as the villas are spread out and the rich forest hides them. There is a lovely pool. The kitchen is good. We took a cooking class (we made cap çay) and I’m so glad we did) and we enjoyed the local hike. This place is remote so allow yourselves plenty of time to get here and hang on to your seats as the last couple of miles are bumpy. But totally worth it. Hi Yani!

Arrival to departure was top notch. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. A true haven in rainforest setting with cooler temperatures than the coast.. Private and with everything we needed. Areas for lounging on the shady deck and a big comfy couch indoors. Staff were polite, friendly and efficient at every point with a special mention of Budi, our guide for rainforest walk. He explained lots of details about the forest and was a cheerful and engaging guide. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast. In fact we had all our meals in the restaurant and although the property was very quiet the food was great. Lots of fresh veg and salads. Our stay was everything we hoped for in a mountain getaway and we would love to come back sometime...maybe for a longer stay. Bonus was quality shampoo, bath gel etc supplied. Also luxury bedding and pillows - so comfy.

We visited Alas Sari as part of a yoga retreat. We were a group of 12 and used all eight of the guest villas. Each villa has its own personality and unique view of the tropical forest. The bathrooms are open air with a wonderful shower and amenities. All the beds had comfortable mattresses and pillows and were surrounded by mosquito netting. All the rooms have ceiling fans for circulation. There are lots of stairs on the property The meals were amazing including breakfast selected from a menu and family style lunches and dinners. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. We conducted our yoga classes in the studio above the spa. Again, all open-air and surrounded by tropical lushness. Since you are in the open, you will experience critters of the wild; birds, squirrels, geckos and flying insects. When the owners arrived in 2010, there was no real development and they created the pathways, planted the trees, built the structures and hired a fantastic staff.

Magnifique endroit, bien entretenu et féerique au milieu de la jungle et des rizières… la villa 2 chambres est très bien décorée et la vue de la terrasse est à couper le souffle… Les hôtes australiens sont très sympathiques et arrangeants, avec possibilité d excursions avec un guide très sympa et un chauffeur pour se rendre dans sa prochaine destination… tout était parfait !! Je recommande à ceux qui veulent un peu sortir des sentiers battus et vivre une expérience inoubliable.

Enchanting, most serene beautiful surroundings and staff were Georgous x From when we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The massages and treatments were outstanding! The food was delicious and a great range. I loved the vegetarian they also have meat dishes! Nothing was to much !
