Candlewood Suites BALTIMORE - INNER HARBOR by IHG

The location is great for the Convention Center area, and the staff was pleasant. That's why two stars. The hotel itself is garbage. Loud, loud, loud, inside and out. Tiny room, barely big enough for one person. ONE elevator for 12 floors. Endless check-in process. A floor so warped neither the (broken) desk chair nor my suitcase would stay put, instead rolling on their own to another part of the room. Dirty kitchen. Just two very thin bath towels provided. No kitchen towels. Coffee in the lobby behind a locked door, the key to which you had to get from the desk clerk. Wonky heat and A/C. A fitness room that made me literally LOL. The shower head water pressure wouldn't force liquid through a single-ply kleenex. A friend stayed at a nearby hotel that had no hot water, so at least that wasn't part of the problem.

Everything was great except the room was very cold and the lobby was a mess with three sliding glass doors and a cumbersome wheelchair access ramp. The rest was very good.

Clean room, but didn’t receive any service for the bed to be remade, trash thrown out, etc. Otherwise, great

I drove in from New Jersey for my father's 70th birthday and we got to the hotel around 1:40pm. I asked the front desk "Rachel" (maybe spelled wrong) first if we could check in early. She stated no. Which was fine. I then informed her that I had more family coming in from out of town and if she would be able to put all of our rooms by one another, she then said no again and I would have to wait until 3pm and see if her relief would do it. At 3pm I went to the desk and she stated I would have to wait for her relief to check in. At that point we were already tired from waiting around for over an hour. She needs better training and her attitude was horrible. Id NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

The room is actually quite noisy with the air conditioner and refrigirator functioning noise. No breakfast.

Yes the staff was awesome I appreciate them yes my room was clean and no complaints will be back soon

I was not too concerned about amenities during my stay. There is no breakfast, but access to a cupboard with tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. The first floor is under construction. The automatic doors are slow to open. I watched several frustrated customers barrel through the doors as if they were push to open. The staff laughed at anyone who came up to the front desk with a request such as new sheets, extra towels, and extra blankets. This location is on a busy street, so the road/ traffic noise is loud.
