The hotel is located in the East Habour, which is relatively safer than other regions. This hotel, however, is old and lacks of management. At 2am, all residents were awakened by a false alarm, which caused us to evacuate by stairs. When we arrived at the lobby, only one staff was there and he made no instruction nor apology to any of us. Since the entire hotel was running out of electricity, we had to walk stairs for 10 floor back to our room. This was horrible.

The room is American-style. However, the free breakfast is a matter of opinion. It is said that it is a service provided by Starbucks, and each person has limited choices. Fortunately, it is freshly made, warm, and delicious. The quantity is more refined, and you can't eat as much as you want, which is more beneficial for health management. So, it depends on personal opinion.

The service is very good. I asked if there is a microwave oven, and the service staff sent one to the room immediately. Praise

I stayed at the courtyard due to my husband being admitted to John’s Hopkins Hospital. I found it to be a warm and welcoming experience. I especially would like to acknowledge Sifa Obanda the night auditor who went out of his way to be helpful and kind when I was having a stressful day. His helpfulness at 04:30am touched my heart.

Overall, a great experience. Check-in was a breeze, the room was very comfortable and displayed being in a loud section of the city. It was relatively quiet with a restful sleep. The facility has a small, but effective gym, which was effective for workouts. The lobby area was comfortable - I don’t really eat at Bistro or bar so can’t comment on that. I know parking is available but I don’t use it. Overall, it’s nice a bit further from my place of business but it’s in a more interesting area of town.

We've been coming to this Courtyard at least twice a year for the past 5+ years, and this October stay for our 30th anniversary and Morgan State Homecoming was hands down the best experience yet! Before we arrived, I emailed the GM Patrick Miner with some requests - hoping for room upgrades and early check-in. The hotel was completely sold out (Homecoming weekend plus a Ravens game - wow!), so upgrades weren't possible. But here's what impressed me: instead of just saying "sorry, we're full," Patrick's team got creative. They put all three of our rooms right next to each other with adjoining doors, which actually worked out even better for our group celebration. And they let us check in early. That's the kind of problem-solving that keeps us coming back. I have to give a huge shout-out to Ms. Wanda, the housekeeper on the 9th floor. You can tell she takes real pride in her work - our rooms were spotless every single day. It's rare that housekeeping staff get the recognition they deserve, but Wanda absolutely made our stay special with her attention to detail. The breakfast every morning was great - good variety, tasty food, and honestly a really good value. We fueled up there before heading out to Homecoming events each day. Front desk staff were super helpful whenever we needed anything. No request was too much trouble, and everyone was genuinely friendly. Between the convenient downtown location, the accommodating staff, and the overall vibe of the place, both our anniversary celebration and the Homecoming festivities were fantastic. Everything just worked. As Gold members, we've stayed at a lot of Marriott properties. This Courtyard consistently stands out because of people like Patrick, Wanda, and the whole team who clearly care about making guests happy. We're already planning our next trip back! Definitely recommend this place if you're coming to Baltimore for a special occasion, sporting event, or just want a hotel where the staff actually goes the extra mile.
