I’m rating 5 stars because of Samira (Sam) bartender was OUTSTANDING! I had some issues along the way with checking in and she was there to greet me with a smile and some conversation after I poured out my frustration on her about my day. She was personable and so easy to talk to all while making a KILLER raspberry cheesecake martini (see picture). I travel often and hotel bars can be stuffy and “go through the motions” easily but not with this girl behind the bar! If you go to lord Baltimore hotel. I would suggest seeing Sam and having a raspberry martini!

We love staying in historic hotels, and this one is beautiful. My only suggestion would be to update the tile surroundings the shower with historically accurate tile.

The lobby and bar area are impressive. The problem, however, was with my room. I had absolutely no hot water. I was on the 12th floor, so I knew from prior stays at hotels on higher floors that it could take some time and so I ran the hot faucet in the tub as well as the sink. Neither one ever got above luke warm, or better described as not cold. Beyond that, the thermostat did not appear to work. The room was set at 72, which is fine but is far too cold for me. I turned the temperature to about 75 and the vent continued to blow cold air. I turned it off and back on then tried again to no avail. I was going out with friends, who had their own issues with their room, and so I thought maybe it needed time. I turned the temperature setting to 80 something but when I returned after several hours, the room was still cold. I notified the front desk the following morning at checkout and the nice lady apologized and said that she would have someone go look into it. I spent $180ish for this one night. At this cost, these problems are unacceptable. I will never stay at a non Hilton brand hotel again, much less this location, which is sad because it takes a LOT for me to dislike a place but I am just so disappointed.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the downtown Baltimore area. I love the selection at the Lord Baltimore hotel. My server, Samira, was very friendly and professional. When I saw the way she effortlessly carried the dishes out to her guests, I knew she was “the real thing” and very attentive. I’m immediately recommending this place and Samira as one of the best places to eat, drink, and enjoy!!

Hotel was okay at best. But Samira at the tavern really brought us back. She provided exceptional service and deserves an immediate raise. She made us feel welcome, comfortable, and nurtured. She was the best! ICE Pittsburgh loves Samira.

The hotel was clean and a great vibe. The food in the lobby was 5 out of 5. Try the crab cake sandwich; it did not disappoint. Samira, our bartender, always kept us full on drinks and not wanting for anything. Impeccable service and always smiling.
