Sonesta Hotel Baltimore Inner Harbor

I parked in the hotel's parking garage and left for my first event.  I returned just after 9pm and the doors to the garage were closed so I had to park in a different garage. After checking out the garage charged me $74.  This is in addition to the initial $25 from the original garage.  So parking for the weekend was $99 and it was not very convenient. The service and the room were fine.  I especially liked the shower quality.

The table lamp does even standing, the faucet wobbling, not tightened to the fixture, left a half hole , water can drain through it. One side of the arm chair’s arm rest fell off. Reported the front desk twice, no repair and replacement ever took place. It was for room 409.

We were in Baltimore for a conference and stayed at the Sonesta Hotel Inner Harbor on East Redwood Street. We'll be back, and we'll stay there again. The location is genuinely good. Just off Charles, two blocks (walking) from the harbor. We never touched the car. That alone tells you something. The rooms were quiet. Upgraded without being fussy. The kind of space where you actually sleep. But the staff is what stayed with us. Shenia, Tyra, Annette, Melissa.....Wow. Each of them brought something real to the interaction. Not scripted warmth. Not the performance of hospitality. Actual interest in whether we were taken care of. That's rarer than it should be, and it doesn't go unnoticed. Some hotels get the building right and miss the people. This one got both.

Tried to check in at 2:30...ok...room not ready....Came back at 4:00...Check in required us to check in "on paper" before checking in. Tried to check in at 4...stood in line until after 5. General manager walked away to talk with another staff member to share that she was going to take off tomorrow. Left her check in staff as 1 person with a line out of the door. Asked for an assessible room...no fridge...no shower chair. Called for chair...said will send one..never did. Spent twice the typical price due to a concert and received 1/10 of the service. I will make sure the hotels poor management and planning is heard by anyone I know that plans on spending any time in a hotel in Baltimore. No shower chair...closet NOT assessible...and window view *phenomenal*.-See picture. AC also not working....80 degrees and Ac NOT cooling down. I tried to upload my photos of this crappy hotel...but their wifi is crappy too....

Jasim the young man at the front desk was amazing . Kind ,friendly and courteous. Five stars cannot begin to tell you how amazing he was.. He went out of his way multiple times to help me people in front of me and always did it with a smile, hands-down he is the top person that we’ve had run into at the front desk.!!!

Great hotel, clean and friendly staff. The location is superior - walking distance to convention center and CFG stadium. Rooms we large, bed was comfy. Most importantly the staff was great. Thank you!

Worst hotel experience of my life. It started with valet who overcharged us to park in the street (a none valet zone) this hotel does not have authorized valet lane they abuse the city spaces. We received a parking ticket. When asked to speak with a hotel manager a woman came out of the office with bbq sauce on her face licking her fingers and said “Whachu want” I asked for the hotel manager and a large man came out in a chefs coat from another restaurant and said he wash the chef and he was under the GM. He proceeded to escalate the situation and his hostile demeanor was extremely unprofessional. The rooms are mediocre and the service here is abysmal. We encountered this staff Monday night.

This hotel was terrible! We had a late check in and the hotel staff seemed just as tired as we were. After getting our room keys we made our way to the elevator. When the elevator doors opened to our floor, the hallway had a disgusting moldy smell wafting through the air. It was at that moment I knew it was only going to get worse. The room itself had another odor that I couldn't place...all I can say is that I was not excited to stay. The floor was sticky and the furniture was old and rundown. There were no washcloths and the shower was not clean. One of the thin toilet paper rolls definitely looked like it had been wet and then it dried. And there was an unidentifiable stain right next to the toilet paper holder. The bed was lumpy and creaky and I was definitely scared of what may have been on the carpet. We left at first light the next morning. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
