The Village is about a 10 minute drive to Esperance, sitting on the edge of "outer" suburbia. But its well off the main road in a secluded bush setting sitting on the banks of a small creek. There is a Brewery nearby as well as a supermarket, Fish and Chips shop (which is very good), Petrol station and a selection of small shops. There are no facilities inside the village except for recreational activities all of which are free to use. We stayed in a King Shack, which we think is a better choice than the A Frame chalets. Our chalet is well described as a shack, although inside its large and very well decorated providing a touch of luxury. An up market bathroom and bedroom supported by a large dining/living area and compact kitchen. There isn't much furniture in the main part of the shack meaning that you need to head to the bedroom to watch TV or sit outside to relax. But there are 2 nice outdoor seats on the patio that look our over bush and a large expanse of green grass. And given children aren't allowed in the village, it means there is a very nice peaceful setting to sit and relax. ECV isn't cheap, but it is well located and maintained, offering accommodation which is a bit different with a touch of luxury.
