Kromo Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton

What can I say, Kromo is just so amazing. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like it was like an oasis of calm from the streets of Bangkok. The lift lobby, the lift, the reception, the welcome drink, the little Kromo passport (super fun to collect stamps), the room, the service, the staff - all of them are top-notch. I will definitely come back to Kromo again. The hotel is between Asok and Phrom Phong BTS station, so you will have to walk to either stations - which isn’t too far. Very close to Emsphere mall so can have great food options too. Book this hotel, you’re not going to regret it.

Newly opened hotel. Nice rooms of decent size. Location is decent. It's like 10mins of walk to the nearest BTS since its located in between 2 BTS station. Nice view from the pool.

I was impressed with this brand-new hotel, which boasts an excellent location just opposite Emsphere, offering an abundance of delightful dining options within walking distance. However, I encountered an issue with the hot water supply in the bathroom shower and bathtub. The water lever needed to be turned to the blue indicator in order to obtain hot water, and vice versa — an unintuitive setup that no guest would reasonably expect. I reported the matter to the front desk around 1 p.m., but upon returning past midnight, the problem had not been resolved. A plumber was subsequently dispatched and confirmed that the lever had to be turned to the blue side for hot water. Despite his efforts over the next 15 minutes, the issue remained unresolved. I trust this is a minor teething problem that will soon be addressed, as the hotel otherwise shows great promise.
