MM16192****This has to be the most surprisingly excellent B&B I've ever stayed in. My entire stay was very satisfying.
**Facilities**: Smart home features throughout, 270-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, toiletries, bedding, and all amenities are a cut above even mid-range hotels.
**Cleanliness**: Extremely neat and clean.
**Environment**: The view outside the window is also great. There's a stream opposite, said to be a downstream section of Jinbian Stream. The back street has many restaurants, and there are several popular '网红' (influencer-favorite) restaurants within 1-2 kilometers. I recommend '大队老渔村' (Dadui Old Fishing Village).
**Service**: This is where it truly outshines many other B&Bs. The owner even personally drives you to the train station, and the proprietress is incredibly thoughtful and enthusiastic. The breakfast is also very rich and plentiful.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel blew it out of the water for us. They made our trip to Zhangjiajie a million times better than it would have been if we had stayed elsewhere. It all started 2 months before our stay. Our hotel butler reached out to me via WeChat and answered all the questions we had about everything. I told our butler that we would be arriving at 9pm and she arranged for a vehicle to pick us up from the airport. The cost was 100 yuan which is a bit steeper than a Didi but I felt it was well worth it since the drive is more than 30 minutes and we were able to guarantee that all our luggages would fit.
A week before our stay she reached out to us and asked if we needed to book tickets for tianmendong and for zhangjiajie forest. She booked both for us with the times we wanted and said we could pay her once we arrived. I double checked the prices and they were exactly the same as what we would have paid if we booked it ourselves. But with her help everything went very smoothly.
The day before we arrived, the driver called me and confirmed that he would pick us up from the airport. The second our flight arrived, he called and confirmed that he was waiting at the gate. Once we came out, he was standing there with a sign with my name on it. It was all very cute and he parked somewhere convenient for us to get picked up. The drive over was smooth and efficient. Our butler also confirmed that she saved us afternoon tea and would have congee ready for us as well. Service was already excelling beyond control at this point.
Once we arrived at the hotel, we checked in with her on the first floor and she gave us a quick rundown of the facilities and everything. When we arrived in our room, it was clean and the bed were nice and big. I also liked that they use Jo Loves for their toiletries. The afternoon tea and congee came up shortly after we walked in. Our room faced this courtyard that was beautiful. Felt like we were living in a fairytale. I liked that the blinds were automatic which was great. They also have a Xiao Du assistant that can help control blinds, temperature and the TV as well. Love the technology.
My only complaint about this hotel is that it gets a bit hot at night. You need to have the aircon on and the window open in order to be at a decent temperature.
Breakfast was another highlight. The chef who also takes away the dishes, is super friendly and so is the auntie who makes the noodles. He was so nice and even made tomato egg when we requested it. The bread etc. Wasn't that great BUT the Chinese dishes he made were all really good. Theres this pork rib dish he makes that is so good. For all 4 days that we stayed there, the food he made was different.
Another great function they have was the robot delivery service. Yes they delivery food but also they have a QR code with products that they have available for free. For example you could order a feet soaking tub (great for long days) and you could also order face washing clothes, one time use underwear, rain jackets. Basically anything you could think of, they probably have.
The afternoon tea and the congee is available everyday so keep that in mind for days you can't find any decent food outside.
We noticed that they had traditional clothing available and so I asked the butler about it. All you need to do is book a timeslot with them and they have a photographer come in and take photos of you. The photographer in the end ended up taking 120 photos of the 3 of us. She was so professional. She edits around 5 for you and the rest are just raw which is great.
Location wise, this hotel is perfect if you are visiting zhangjiajie forest. The south entrance is literally right there. Like 2 minute walk. It's literally right next to the south exit too. There's a KFC nearby which is great and also a Chagee. If you walk one street down there are tons of eateries.
Overall: this hotel was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

ВВиктория ;₽This was one of the most atmospheric places we stayed at during our trip to Zhangjiajie.
The hotel is located in a very scenic mountain area, away from the crowds, yet still conveniently close to Wulingyuan. Even the road there sets the mood, with beautiful green hills and rock formations all around.
The room is cozy with panoramic windows, and the view is simply incredible. Right from the room, you can see majestic mountains and cliffs. In foggy weather, everything looks especially magical - like being inside a traditional Chinese painting. It was such a pleasure to sit with a cup of tea and just enjoy the view.
The food definitely deserves a special mention - everything was fresh and very вкусно, with a good variety for breakfast and plenty of options to choose from. You can really tell the meals are prepared with care.
Another highlight is the animals: there are 6 cats and 3 dogs living on the property. They are very friendly and calm, adding a warm and homely touch to the stay.
The staff are very attentive and helpful, always doing their best to make the stay comfortable. Special thanks for helping us purchase tickets to the parks - it made everything much easier.
Overall, this is a perfect place for those who want to relax, enjoy nature, and spend time in a peaceful and beautiful environment. We would definitely love to come back!

BBelleWQishi Li Cave Guesthouse was an exceptional place to stay that provides 24/7 butler/housekeeper service and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.
The service was excellent, and the two housekeepers, Yuan-Yuan and Xiao Tang, were absolutely amazing. They provided support and assistance around the clock and were always helpful, caring, kind, and friendly. Xiao Tang in particular went above and beyond to help me find Chinese art paintings, as I was unfamiliar with the local shops. He also recommended great local restaurants, arranged pick-up and drop-off for us, and even helped us order dinner when we were too tired to go out, especially since I could not use the local food delivery apps or read Chinese.
Yuan-Yuan was also wonderful and very thoughtful. She kindly looked after my 16 years old son when he was too tired after our second day and stayed back at the guesthouse while I went sightseeing.
What impressed me most was how they helped plan our entire 3-day itinerary in Zhangjiajie. They bought tickets for the scenic areas and arranged a personal English-speaking tour guide for us. Everything was so well organised that I did not have to worry about anything at all.
The guesthouse itself is unique, clean and quite new, with an amazing atmosphere that feels calm, peaceful, and beautiful. The location is also excellent, just a 10-minute walk along the river to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park at Wulingyuan.
This was truly a memorable stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.
Thank you Xiao Tang and Yuan Yuan.

RRachchelloThis hostel is 40min drive away from the high speed rail station but conveniently located 5 min drive away from the west gate, which allows one to escape from the queues. We were here during the Easter holidays and even then, didn’t have to queue up for the cable cars or eco buses. Most tourists entered via the East/South Gates thus we traveled from a counter direction. There isn’t much around the hostel so be prepared to fully immerse into the quietude of village life and the songs of roosters and birds. The nearest “town” (a few supermarkets and maybe two village restaurants)is also 5min drive away and Xiaozhao nicely offered us a drive on the Buggy. There isn’t any taxi around. The ride from here to downtown ZZJ or the high speed rail station would cost around RMB200.
I like most the scenery from our spacious veranda, with a view to some classical zhangjiajie landforms, and equipped with a huge tea table and a jacuzzi. It was raining often, but I had fully enjoyed my waiting time till the sky cleared up.
Xiaozhao took meticulous care of us - he quickly tended to any requests and offered great recommendations on travel routes. The compound is deeply surrounded by trees and offered good privacy. Food is a little overpriced but taste is good.
Drawbacks…as they position as a high-end boutique hotel, the facilities and decors are a bit aged. TV screen was small by current standard and they can do better with the coffee.

RRod Evans Ky⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Review: No.5 Valley Lodge, Zhangjiajie, China
Staying at No.5 Valley Lodge was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the breathtaking valleys of Zhangjiajie, this lodge feels like a hidden sanctuary where nature, comfort, and heartfelt hospitality come together perfectly.
From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by towering karst mountains, lush greenery, and a sense of calm you simply can’t find in the city. The rooms are beautifully designed—clean, cozy, and thoughtfully detailed—with stunning views that make waking up feel like a dream. Every corner of the lodge blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, creating an authentic yet luxurious experience.
What truly sets No.5 Valley Lodge apart is the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, they go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their local knowledge is invaluable, whether you’re planning visits to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianmen Mountain, or discovering lesser-known scenic trails. The food is another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and comforting, with local touches that make every meal memorable.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a romantic retreat, or a base for exploring one of China’s most spectacular destinations, No.5 Valley Lodge is an absolute gem. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend it without hesitation.
✨ A perfect stay in one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

GGuest UserIt's super convenient to get to Tianmen Mountain by taxi, and they have free parking. The room was really clean, which is a huge plus for me since I'm a bit of a clean freak! You can clearly see the beautiful Tianmen Mountain from the 7th-floor observation deck, it's like a painting. The manager and housekeeper provided amazing service; they even prepared breakfast for us even though we woke up late this morning, which was so thoughtful. It made us feel warm inside during our first visit to such a cold place like Zhangjiajie ❤️ Highly recommend it! 👍👍 Not many hotels pass my 'clean freak' test, haha. If you're planning a trip and need a room, go for it! Oh, and the balcony was great for drying clothes; the sun felt lovely.

PPangsongfang88My overall stay exceeded expectations. The hotel is very new and clean, with no unpleasant renovation smells. Its location is super convenient, very close to the forest park entrance, which saved a lot of travel time. The front desk staff were kind and patient in answering all my questions. The free shuttle service was also very punctual. Definitely great value for money!

GGuest UserThe room had excellent lighting, and the shared bathrooms were clean and tidy. It's just a 5-minute walk to the East Gate of Wulingyuan, and they offer comprehensive, thoughtful service for dining, lodging, and travel. I originally planned to stay for just one day, but I was so comfortable and slept so well that I extended my stay – I just wanted to breathe in more of Zhangjiajie's air. The itinerary the owner planned was incredibly stress-free. I was worried about not finding companions during the off-season, but to my surprise, I formed two groups with fellow travelers at the owner's international youth hostel. We had a lively and happy time, even in the off-season!

GGuest UserCherry was absolutely amazing and provided outstanding customer service and support. However, the hotel itself is outdated and was not very clean, with mildew visible in the showers. The breakfast offered a decent selection of Chinese dishes, but there were no clear labels indicating the type of meat used, and some dishes were incorrectly named. The outdoor area was a highlight, offering a lovely space to take a walk and relax.
