InterContinental Barcelona

The hotel breakfast was absolutely fantastic, truly superb! I specifically chose the Intercontinental for its breakfast – unlimited ham, a real treat! The hotel room was also quite spacious, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the scorching heat of Spain! The front desk staff were very welcoming and provided detailed information. It's a little bit of a walk from the old town, but right next door is the National Art Museum of Catalonia, which is an attraction in itself! There are also plenty of small supermarkets nearby. Barcelona isn't as scary as some social media platforms make it out to be! I personally believe that no matter where you travel, it's always wise to be observant and cautious. Barcelona is great! If you have questions about children staying for free or at a charge, just email the hotel directly – it's very convenient, and you'll get the answers you need without any hidden fees! Highly recommended!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Spanish Steps. Transportation, shopping, and dining nearby are all very convenient. The hotel's breakfast is incredibly rich with a wide variety of food choices.

It was alright. The location isn't great. The room was spacious but felt a bit old, and there was a persistent smell in the hallway, which also permeated my room. It was like a damp, musty smell. But since I was only staying a few days, I didn't bother complaining. The hotel breakfast was decent, and the service was quite good.

This is an older hotel. The room was spacious, and the service and cleanliness were quite good. However, the facilities are a bit dated, and the room felt damp with a noticeable carpet smell. The shower water pressure was also a bit low.

The extra bed didn't come with a duvet, only a blanket. This is why the service score is lower; even after asking twice, it wasn't delivered. In the end, I just slept with the blanket for a night, thankfully it wasn't too cold. The sink in the room was a bit clogged, but I didn't bother reporting it. So, I'll give the facilities and cleanliness 4 stars. The two-meal package I bought had surprisingly excellent food! I especially loved the cheese pasta and cheesy eggplant for dinner, and the cheesecake was the best I've ever had! Highly recommend it. Breakfast on the second day had ham and cheese, which I thoroughly enjoyed! Personally, I was very satisfied, but my elderly family members weren't used to it, as there was no Chinese food at all for breakfast. Finally, I had a 16-euro cocktail at the rooftop bar, and when I checked out, the total including taxes was 55 euros. I don't quite understand why, maybe there was a service charge.

It's a pity that I accidentally left something behind when checking out, and although the hotel staff assisted in the search, it wasn't recovered. Despite this, I was deeply moved by the staff's patience, active communication, and proactive approach throughout the process. Their professionalism and sincerity demonstrated their care for guests, and their responsible spirit is truly admirable. Though the outcome was a bit disappointing, I genuinely felt their efforts. Thank you again for your thoughtful service. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future and continue to recommend this warmth and reliability to my friends.

The InterContinental Barcelona provided an excellent overall experience. Its convenient location made getting around and visiting attractions very easy. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding, good soundproofing, and plenty of natural light. The service was professional and attentive; both the concierge and front desk staff were responsive and paid attention to details. Breakfast offered a rich selection and consistent quality. The rooftop terrace had a superb view, perfect for enjoying cityscapes and relaxing with a drink. The hotel's public areas were grandly designed, and the cleanliness and maintenance lived up to InterContinental standards. It's suitable for both leisure and business stays, and I would highly recommend it.

The room was great! My Visa card suddenly stopped working when I was trying to pay for a taxi, and the hotel security guard was so kind to cover the cost for me. He also helped me with my heavy luggage and provided excellent service with a constant smile throughout.
