EDITED: I wrote my review just before checking out of the hotel. When asked how my stay was during checkout, I told them about my experience. While I was still outside the hotel waiting for a taxi, the hotel R+B Manager, Mr. Damino C., came outside to find me. He had heard about my experience and wanted to talk with me about it. This young man is impressive and he clearly cares about hotel guests. He listened and explained he will look futher into what happened and he apologized assuring me that is not the Kimpton standard. I was absolutely blown away that he came to find me. I really was prepared not to stay at that hotel again even though I loved everything else about it, but after talking with Mr. Damino C., I'd stay there again. Thank you, Mr. Damino C. As I told you, you made my day! I love Kimpton hotels! I try to find one in a city if I'm not staying in an apartment. The Vivadora is a beautiful space in a very convenient location. The hotel and my room were spacious, clean, and smelled incredible. They were so accommodating when I arrived early morning from a transatlantic cruise and I was able to check in hours early. Everyone at reception is incredibly friendly and helpful. I just felt good through the whole check-in process. But, my experience in the hotel restaurant was very, very different. I paid in advance to have breakfast every day. The first day, the server seemed like it was a bother to answer my questions about the buffet and how breakfast worked there. I almost felt like I was imposing asking for a pot of tea. I then watched her take time to explain the buffet to other people who came in, and she even walked one over to show him things. I went to the buffet, alone, to get some food and returned to my table to find it cleared. I wasn't bothered though, another young lady server was just trying to be efficient and I was set back up. Second morning at breakfast was a little better, but the same server who seemed bothered the previous day still wasn't the friendliest. This morning, my last morning here, I went for breakfast. I got a little meat, a bit of cheese, and slices of melon from the buffet and waited for someone to come to my table and take my order for an omelet. I waited 35 minutes. I was the second person in the door when the restaurant opened and it wasn't busy. I watched other people asked for their orders for coffee, eggs, but not me. I got up and asked another server if I could order eggs and a pot of mint tea, saying I waited 35 minutes. She brought the tea right away. I never got the omelet. I waited about 15 minutes. Watched a couple right next to me get there eggs order, and when it was wrong, the server came back in minutes with the correct order that had to be made-to-order. I watched an ENTIRE family in front of me place their eggs orders and when those were served before I got my omelet, I quietly got up and left the restaurant. Still kind of hungry and not having the breakfast I paid for. So very disappoi
