I slept two nights at hostelnova on Rambla Badal (short holiday with friends) and I had a great time, comfortable beds, perfect temperature, soundproof windows (thank goodness, because I'm a light sleeper!) With the electronic key you can return at any time total autonomy. When I return to Barcelona I will book there again, also for the price

Good points:
The front desk staff was cheerful and friendly.
Convenient transportation.
There is a supermarket nearby, so it's convenient as long as you don't come late at night.
Bad points:
The final check-in time is 4pm, which is too early.
The plug in the bathtub was broken, so I couldn't fill it with water.
There was a gap of about 5-7mm in the partition that prevents shower water from splashing, so after the shower, the area around the sink was a puddle. There was no drainage, so I had to squeeze the bath mat several times to wipe off the water.
There was hardly anyone at the reception, so even if a problem occurred, they wouldn't do anything to help.
The bath towels weren't changed for a week.

Very good stay, good location and very friendly staff. The only downside is the noise in the corridors and people around shouting and slamming doors but this is independent of the hotel management.
