We spent three nights at the Catalonia Magdalenes after disembarking our cruise. This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The bedroom was lovely, with a fabulous bathroom. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Simo who went out of his way to help us make the most of our two days there. Our room had a lovely little balcony overlooking the street, which was very quiet, especially at night. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the a/c worked perfectly. We can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hotel located near the heart of the city! We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for 3 days prior to departing for our Mediterranean cruise. Hotel was very clean and comfortable! Service was wonderful! Special shout out to Simo! Such an enthusiastic and friendly staff member! I looked forward to seeing him each day and was sad when he had a couple days off! Bruno was fabulous too as was Marco at the rooftop bar! Hope to come back to Barcelona and your hotel again in the future!

The staff particularly Adrian Bruno and Marco were excellent in their customer service and made our stay first class. The breakfast was a great way to start our days. The hotel itself was ideally located and we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Barcelona! Thank you all.

It is hard to say how much we enjoyed our 3 night stay at this wonderful property. This small hotel is ideally located on a quiet side street in the Gothic district. The rooms was modern and provided the quiet sanctuary needed after a day of sightseeing. The lobby staff, especially Adam and Adrian, gave us perfect dining recommendations. Adam even personally changed out our television that was not receiving English channels. Service above and beyond with a smile.

This was our second stay at this hotel and not only have we fallen in love with Barcelona, but this hotel also. This place really is a beautiful little sanctuary and we cannot wait to return. We stayed 4 nights, over my husband’s birthday and everyone was just so kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain over the few days we were there which meant we weren’t able to use the rooftop as much as we’d have liked (our favourite part) so we are hoping to sneak in an unplanned return trip next month….and plan to bring our girls this time! We want to share this amazing little place with them as we know they will love it too!!! Yes, there are plenty of lovely hotels in Barcelona, and we’ve been tempted by others but we just couldn’t reconcile going to Barcelona and staying anywhere other than Catalina Magdalenes. Ultimately, it’s the staff who make this hotel the place it is with a special shout out to Sara. Can’t wait to see you all again very soon!!

Located in the Gothic Quarter, nestled in a quiet side street, however close to many attractions and restaurants, and walking distance to Placa de Catalunya - here there are several public transport stops and also a stop for the 'hop-on, hop-off' bus. The hotel is clean and inviting, the rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and free wi-fi. The rooftop bar is nice with good views. The staff are very good, special mention to Adam and Aida who looked after us very well.
