The halls and my room smelled absolutely disgusting the whole time - like musty mold and wet dogs, my electricity kept on going off every few hours and I had to get up and press a switch in the fuse board on the wall , even during the night . The hotel was super noisy and despite the fact that I said I’m travelling for work and needed a quiet room , I was put in a room right in front of the elevator, with one “neighbor” having parties with loud music until 4 am , and the other having screaming kids , crying all night . Not to mention the bare minimum you’d expect in a 4 star hotel wasn’t provided. And when I checked in , old and used shower caps were hanging in the bathroom . Staff was rude when questioned about the electricity issue , suggesting “it’s my fault” and trying to assume I used the hair drier and that’s what is causing it , although I have never even touched the hairdryer. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in , not worthy of 4 stars . More like 2 stars

Começarei pela parte boa. Em primeiro lugar, a localização é ótima, pois fica bem próximo à Catedral no Bairro Gótico, com muitos pubs, restaurantes e lojas próximos, bem como com uma estação de metrô do outro lado da rua (Jaume I). Também fica perto de Barceloneta. Há o Dunnes Irish Pub vizinho, que é muito bom, tanto para comer quanto para beber. Os atendentes do hotel foram todos simpáticos. O café da manhã é bem servido e a comida é gostosa, assim como as frutas (o ovo não é bom, mas...). Agora, vamos à parte ruim... Os quartos não são bons (ficamos em dois quartos diferentes nas duas estadias). Há MUITO barulho tanto externo quanto interno, ou seja, a acústica não é boa. Os móveis dos quartos são antiquados. Assim, o descanso não é bom (mal se consegue descansar). Só conseguíamos dormir depois que o barulho cessava (ou seja, tarde da noite). Além do mais, o hotel é bastante caro para o que oferece (para se ter uma ideia, no mesmo período ficamos em um EXE cinco estrelas em Andorra, MUITO SUPERIOR e MUITO MAIS BARATO!). Então, de uma maneira geral eu infelizmente não o recomendo, apesar da excelente localização e da simpatia dos atendentes.

The good: Superb location, clean rooms, close to many of Barcelona’s must visit attractions. The not so good: No ramps or elevators from the street level to the reception level. So you must carry your luggage using the stairs. There is nobody to help you with your luggage. The reception is a one person operation. The rooms air conditioning/heating is centrally control. Be ready for a very hot or very cold room. The towels are few and low quality. If you need more towels go to the lobby and get them yourself. The breakfast is good but extremely simple. The rooms are very small and the shower is missing one glass door so be prepared for a very wet bathroom floor. The hotel is showing it’s age and needs to be remodeled soon. Pillows and mattress are hard.

Lovely 3 nights in this hotel. The location was really good and central. The staff were very friendly. A special mention for Daniela in the reception. She gave lots of recommendations about the city to visit and where to eat. Always smiling and very pleasant. Thanks Daniela.

It is an ideal place to stay if you can figure out the trains and buses. There are lots of stops located around the hotel. It is a very brief walk to the Cathedral, and if you're a Rick Steves fan, the start of his 2 walks for Barcelona are within a 15 minute.

I looks better than it is I asked had no water in the room so had to ask they said they would put some there but didn’t, charged me 2 days tourist tax instead of 1. Overall disappointing
