Anba Boutique

I stayed at this excellent B&B on the occasion of the Barcelona marathon and it has been just perfect. Hotel could be easily reached by the subway (the stop is just in front of the entrance), the location is clean, elegant, relaxing and the staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is usually at 8 a.m., but due to the marathon they have been so kind to anticipate it. I strongly recommend it.

Magnifique bed and breakfast situé dans un immeuble très beau. Il n'y a que 7 chambres situées toutes au même étage ce qui donne l'impression d'habiter un appartement au cœur de Barcelone. La chambre est magnifique. Le personnel est adorable et le petit-déjeuner varié. Le B&B est situé à 5min à pied de la place Catalunya et des fameuses ramblas. Un arrêt de bus et une station de métro au pied de l'immeuble permettent de se rendre facilement vers les nombreux points d'intérêt de ia ville. Si nous revenons à Barcelone nous reviendrons chez Anba!

Beautiful boutique b and b. Spotlessly clean comfortable rooms, great bathroom with a powerful shower. Excellent breakfast , freshly cooked eggs, fruit fresh pastry and cheeses and meats. Great location on the edge of the old quarter everything within easy walking distance. And it’s on the doorstep of the metro. Only disadvantage if you’re a light sleeper the metro does rumble underneath the rooms! Not sure about the last review as communication with Laura was superb. Checked our flight time when we arrived and was there to greet us. If you like the big hotel experience this is not for you. But if you like friendly and intimate with luxurious accommodation this is a must.

We paid USD 447 for 2 nights at this hotel but when we arrived for our stay they advised that there was no room for us. They tried to convince us to stay in a run down and dirty hostel beside the hotel that was less than half the cost per night and after we advised that we won't be accepting the alternative accomodation they refused to refund any of our money paid. This ruined our stay in Barcelona as we had to scramble around for other accomodation instead of enjoying our holiday. I never leave negative reviews but have tried to resolve this directly with the hotel however they have advised after 2 months of me following up with them that they won't be refunding any of the money that we paid up front.  I can only warn others not to book with this hotel as I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy.

This B&B is in a great location for walking to some major attractions. We really enjoyed spending time on the balcony in our room and being able to have our breakfast outside was a bonus. The pastries were unreal. The noise from Metro and surrounding rooms we were aware of, but not too intrusive. We felt that bit having someone on site to help when there was an issue with our key might stop us returning here.

Good B&B near the main square of Catalunya. The standard room is bigger than the European standard as well as the bathroom. Clean and updated. Refrigerator and safe are included. The breakfast is good and contains the essential. Egg dish is cooked when ordered. Staff and service were excellent. Very helpful workers. The downside are this building have no sound proof. Street sounds is normal. But the walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbours from all corners. Also there was a sewage odour at a few times during our 4 night stay in this hotel. Otherwise we are happy with the experience.

Cute little B&B at the top end of the Gothic Quarter. Beautifully decorated with lovely touches such as nice toiletries. Overall we had a good stay and loved the layout and decor of this B&B. As far as location is concerned, it's great and right next to a metro station on the L1 line which was really convenient, yet walking distance to La Rambla, Pl Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia etc. The breakfast was delicious (not sure what the earlier reviewer was talking about when complaining about this!!) with all manner of pastries, fruits, cold meats/cheeses, lovely cereals/granola etc and your choice of omelette, scrambled egg if you wish. Beautifully laid out in the dining area. The outside courtyard is also lovely to sit in and have a tea/coffee. My only disappoin**ent maybe is that the room we had is small and overlooking the main road it was noisy and you can hear the rumble of the metro too. We had problems with the a/c control either being too hot or too cold and bizarrely this is controlled by the front desk computer yet there is no 24/7 service - our first night I was literally freezing. The temperature should really be able to be fully controlled by the guest. We also had no TV to speak of. I appreciate we are in Barcelona for the city and not to watch TV but it's nice just to have on after a day spent sightseeing before heading out for dinner. Any channels we found either had no signal or needed a passcode. Don't say you have international TV if you don't have it. We also could hear our neighbours in the next room using the toilet/running taps etc. However, I would certainly recommend ANBA if you are in Barcelona maybe just have a room that doesn't overlook the front and is one of the bigger ones.

We spent 2 nights at Anba Boutique Hotel and could not get enough of its wonderful , pleasant experience. Firstly we were impressed by the boutique luxury amenities with art decor ceiling, cute patio breakfast and amazing hospitality staff. Bellow a very cute snapshot of our ceiling room. Everything was a dream : wine, food, location.

Breakfast is extremely basic, staff are disingenuous only offering a minimum service and more importantly the hotel is not centrally located. The hotel is compacted onto one floor of a corner building with other appar**ents surrounding it above thus it’s very noisy during the day and night. I wouldn’t book this hotel again even for my mother in law to stay in.
