Clean and spacious room. The staff are lovely. Special mention to Augustino who was very helpful and friendly and even offered us some Catalan lessons! The hotel is well located. Good value for money in the center of Barcelona (1km from the historic center)

The hostel is in a good location and the staff is very nice, but the facilities leave a lot to be desired. It is true that Barcelona is expensive, but it is not inconvenient to renew the mattress (you feel the springs when you are lying down), change the doors because they are quite unsafe. You can hear everything from other rooms and hallway… The truth is that I would not repeat it.

The hotel is in a central area that allows you to reach the main attractions on foot, the downside is the entrance to the structure which is located in a secondary and quite difficult road. The internal spaces are all very narrow and the furnishings are limited to the essentials. Hall and corridors old and neglected, the room and the small bathroom slightly better cared for. It must be said that at least the room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Thin walls and doors, zero insulation from noise both outside and from adjacent rooms.

All right. Very friendly in attention. The room with private bathroom is simple but clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly. The area is not pretty, nor does it seem very safe. But we didn't have any problems and it is very close to the metro to get everywhere comfortably.

Be careful of this HOTEL!!! They canceled my reservation two weeks before my stay without explanation and without advance information. At first, they asked me to change my payment information, then they took 20 euros (without my own authorization) from my account saying that it was just to check the validity of my payment card and that they would refund afterwards, plus they confirmed my reservation. suddenly they canceled the reservation saying that the collection check or I don't know koi! Is not checked, knowing that payment is expected on arrival. They don't respond to messages and are happy to leave you without any explanation. This is my poor experience with hotel reservations.

I lived at Hostal Radio for 20 days between November and December. I say I lived because after two weeks I already felt at home. My husband went for work and I took advantage of the excellent location to easily move around the city, as Hostal Radio is in an incredible region, excellent for learning more about local customs and cuisine. The staff are very kind, helpful and very attentive. Clean room, sheets and towels in excellent condition, bathtub and bathroom in excellent condition. **Suggestion: If you can, stay in a room with a balcony on a higher floor, the view of the city is incredible. I saw some complaints about cramped stairs and elevator. Forget about it because it won't interfere with your stay. REMEMBER you are in the old world, where the facade of old buildings are conserved and maintained and the inside is adapted to new needs. If you observe, you will see that everything is inspected and approved by the local security agency and city hall, so enjoy your stay!
