They don't provide safe lockers. Just some lockers in the corridor. Also for keeping the bag after or before check out/ check in they charge a lot. Don't have bathrooms in the dormatory have to go to different place to take bath.Rooms don't have proper ventilation.

Overall, a good stay with a Few Minor Issues
I stayed at Safestay Barcelona Gothic from June 17–18, 2025, in a 12-bed mixed dorm. The experience was mostly positive.
✅ Pros:
The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the metro, which made it easy to get around.
If you have an early flight (like mine at 08:30), this is a good place to stay as you can easily reach the airport in time.
The dorm, bathrooms, and common areas were all neat and clean.
Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay.
The staff was friendly and spoke good English.
Definitely value for money.
⚠️ Cons:
The check-in time listed in my confirmation email was 14:00, but they didn’t allow check-in until 15:00. This was a bit inconvenient.
Breakfast was not included in the booking.
Overall, it’s a decent and budget-friendly option in a central area, especially for solo or budget travellers. I would recommend it for short stays.

The breakfast was terrible and disgusting. Really awful! Why should we pay 5 euros for a breakfast that’s just butter and bread? Also, the 5-euro tourist tax is unfair. Taxes are already included in the flight and hotel costs — why should we have to pay another 5 euros?
This was my last trip ever to the city of Barcelona.
El desayuno fue terrible y asqueroso. ¡Realmente horrible! ¿Por qué tenemos que pagar 5 euros por un desayuno que solo tiene mantequilla y pan? Además, el impuesto turístico de 5 euros es injusto. Los impuestos ya están incluidos en el vuelo y el hotel, ¿por qué tenemos que pagar otros 5 euros?
Este fue mi último viaje a la ciudad de Barcelona para siempre.

It was a pleasant experience. Overall great location, all necessary amenities and friendly staff. 3€ to rent a towel was a bit extra. Nice outside area to hang out for a bit and a good crowd to hang out with.

This was the best experience ever for me in hostels. Location is as good as you can imagine - restaurants of all types, ATMs, metro, laundry in on step and beach in near location. Hostel personnel are polite and helpful. There was air conditioning in lobby and rooms.
