SureStay Hotel by Best Western Bardstown General Nelson

I stayed for 3 Nights lots of noise on the front side of the hotel (not BW‘s fault). RECOMMEND YOU ASK FOR A ROOM ON BACKSIDE OF HOTEL (even numbers). Breakfast served 6 to 9 picture taken at 7:30 Usually they have bagels, muffins, pastry of some sort. Staff were friendly and accommodating with reservations.

The room was very dirty. All of these good reviews are confusing. There was hair all over our room (not ours), hair on our beds, in the bathroom, and the remote and bidet controller had crust. We used a black light on the second bed in our room and there were loads of mysterious stains. We also had to wait 20ish minutes to check out because the guy who was supposed to check out was in the breakfast area with the other worker and all they had was a sign up saying they would be right back so we had to go find the person. The walls are also paper thin so we could hear our neighbors coughing. Breakfast was fine, they leave the milk for cereal out un refrigerated so that can’t be food safe but all the other food was fine.

Had a wonderful time! Place was easy to get to, easy to park at, room was great, breakfast was excellent and on time. Very well lit and walking distance from downtown Bardstown. Special shout out to Lisa who took care of us each morning!

Convenient location, room was sparkling clean and the staff is wonderful. Special thanks to Lisa in the Wheelhouse breakfast hall, she made sure everything was good and is very kind. I will book this location again on my next trip to Bardstown.

This place was really nice and quiet. Granted we did this in December on the downside of the season. A room was really quite clean and comfortable. The breakfast was OK. Nothing right Home about. We only stayed here for one night. Check in was very simple

the pictures that are attached is not what the hotel looks like.it is more a motel then a hotel. we were also double charged for our room and i called and they just said no we only charged you once. very big hassle.

This motel has recently been remodeled and it shows. We have stayed at the General Nelson a number of times and always found the staff helpful and the facility a good value. Now that it is remodeled, it is even better. It is clean and comfortable.

Room is very clean, staff are all so sweet, and the breakfast is very good too! We had a very pleasant stay and room temp and bed comfort was great! We will def stay again even though it’s not a huge room and it’s an older hotel, it’s well kept up. Great location too!

I chose the motel so that we could walk into town, and the location was fine for that purpose, especially since we had one night stay. However the white shower curtain had 2 inches of red bacteria stain at the bottom edge, indicating it had not been washed or sanitized in some time. The bathroom seemed clean but the shower curtain had been hooked over the hand bar, indicating the housekeeper had seen the red and ignored it. That night there was a loud party outside our room and in an adjacent room that went on until after midnight. Finally, the coffee was gone when we went to get some before they closed breakfast at 9am (on a Sunday!).
