The hotel's swimming pool is good. It's open until nine o'clock in the evening. It's a favorite of children. You can walk to the beach in five minutes along the back door of the hotel. The sand is fine and the scenery is beautiful. The wind and waves are strong. It's not suitable for swimming. It's nice to walk along the coast.

Really friendly staff on reception despite it being busy. The pool was a comfortable temperature. Cars park under cover, safe from sun and hail. The villa was perfectly clean and welcoming. Very hard to keep the villa cool though.

What a great place for a family. Open spaces for the boys (9&13) to run and play, get their ball stuck in a tree... The room was easy to cool and tidy. The restaurant was busy, we had a few issues but the food was great and made up for the discrepancies. The staff were friendly and helpful. We walked to the beach most afternoons, and had coffee in Bargara each morning so the boys could search for sea life. Yes the cabin was a little tired but the lift was very cool. The kids got their own space, so did we. We look forward to our next visit.

Amazing facilities - unit was perfect for what we needed it for. Grounds were very well maintained, and it was wonderful to see so much wildlife. A late-night visit by a mother possum and her baby captivated our grand-daughter.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I'd read some reviews prior to staying here. Thought it would be run down but I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst it wasn't brand new, we found it very spacious, clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. Although the advertising was very clear about the loft I didn't feel comfortable having my daughter sleep up there when I saw it, but staff were helpful and we had her sleep on the sofa bed downstairs instead. The ladder clamp was useful to prevent kids from going upstairs unsupervised. The room has everything you need including a living area and separate bedroom and kitchen. Loved the grounds which were meticulously kept and it was so nice having our daily breakfasts on the verandah. Pool, spa, bbq area, games room and laundry were excellent bonus too. Location was good as it was close to mon repos, Bargara shops and beaches.

We wanted to love it but found it unbearable and left a night early. I had been excited to take my own kids to Kelly’s and was nostalgic for holidays past but unfortunately, we found the villa (21) unbearably hot without aircon and unbearably cold with it. The facilities were dated and pool cloudy. The critter level, which we were warned about at check in, is high! We didn’t take food in and had ants everywhere. The villa was poorly maintained with busted fly screens and difficult to slide doors. Our kids (boys - aged 8 and 5) were delighted by the mezzanine sleeping arrangements but the ladder was deadly and after watching a fall and noticing the lack of vacuuming of the loft and enduring a night of discomfort with no airflow and aircon directly over the bed and general musty smell, we couldn’t handle it and checked out a night early and relocated to an apartment on the Esplanade. We were disappointed that two staff didn’t ask us why we were leaving early. There are nicer places to stay in Bargara - look for somewhere close to the Basin, the point or on the Esplanade.
