We came here by accident, not really knowing where to go after a long countryside walk and we are so glad we did! Every item on the menu sounded and looked amazing as we witnessed Lange after plate walk past. We opted for a burger and the homemade pie; exceptional and faultless. We cannot wait to return here. The atmosphere is great and the countryside views were beautiful. Highly recommend

Stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. Beautiful room, equipped to a very high standard, exceptionally clean with a beautiful bathroom. Complimentary fresh cream tea in the room on arrival and White Company products in the bathroom. Breakfast was very high quality both mornings and service very professional and friendly. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Made a meal for us when we arrived back late after a family funeral - felt they really went the extra mile to care for us. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Just returned from an overnight stay. My wife and I stayed in Goldings and our friends stayed in Admiral. We were overwhelmed with the standard of accommodation. Every little touch had been thought through. The rooms were spotless and so very comfortable, with fridge, safe, bathrobes, slippers, even an umbrella! Bathrooms were very well designed with lovely White Co. toiletries. Our food in the evening was delicious, unpretentious, well cooked and served with a smile! Breakfast was equally superb. The staff were very professional yet extremely pleasant and helpful throughout the inn. We will certainly be returning to this lovely location and would definitely book this inn again. It far exceeds the standards of many, much grander, (supposedly) hotels we have all stayed at and we have travelled a lot! Congratulations to all the team at the Peacock Inn! You seem to have achieved your vision of superb hospitality!

What a fabulous hotel, bar and restaurant nestled in the amazing Peak District. Beautiful place and great staff. The attention to detail is apparent everywhere, warm friendly staff, lovely accomodation, great food. Absolutely perfect!! Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed two nights at The Peacock recently. It is the perfect bolthole for a relaxing getaway break. Stayed in Fuggles which was a comfortable and well appointed room with some nice touches. Excellent meals in the restaurant on both evenings and our breakfasts were amazing. Had a nice stroll down to the Tickled Trout one evening but note it’s closed on Mondays. Thanks to Owen and the team for looking after us so well. Would recommend a visit to others and we definitely hope to return.

The peacock staff were very welcoming, the room we stayed in was very nice & clean with comfortable bed.
The restaurant was very friendly and the the meals were very nice.There was nothing not to like about tmThe Peacock.

Called here to suss it out for my mother in laws 93rd birthday treat. I think she'll have a great afternoon tea, we had a beer, then a coffee and cake. The cake was delish and the afternoon tea menu looked great, stylish and modern setting looking out over the rolling hills. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Nice clean toilets We will be calling again
