Iolanthe

Rose was a lovely host, really enjoyed the place.

What a lovely accommodation, hostess and breakfast. We stayed in the room called Speedwell which very spacious and light. The bed was very comfy. The hostess is kind and gives you all the information you need.

Had a wonderful time at Iolanthe! It’s a charming place with lots of character. A lovely (and very filling) breakfast was provided every morning. The showering situation is a little tricky, there is a bath and hand held shower head, as the house is very old you have to be careful not to wet the floor. It took a little getting used to but certainly wasn’t an issue. The bathroom was shared by a few rooms, but I never had to wait long. The beds were comfy and wonderfully warm! The b&b is opposite Hampstead Heath, which is lovely for a walk and very quiet at night. As a result, it is a little bit of a way (about 20 minutes walk) from Golders Green tube station. There is a bus but it doesn’t always run when you want it to, which can make it a little tricky with luggage, but you can get an Uber to the tube or central London without any issues. Would recommend for a quiet few days in London!

Friendly B&B

My friends stayed with Iolanthe and loved it - for all the reasons mentioned here already. However, I have a different motive to praise this address as the landlady really helped me receiving a valued parcel that could not be shipped to an address outside the UK. We have never met in person but she was only too willing to let me use her address and keep my parcel save until my friends could pick it up during their stay. Quite a special act of kindness for a lady who is, no doubt, very busy running such a popular an lovely Bed & Breakfast. I have already started looking at opportunities to visit London soon and will certainly book a room at her house. Thank you so much, Rosy!

Our son in law found this gold “nugget” online. Our daughter and he live across the Heath and we were there for one month to see our new born grandchild. A special time in ones lives. We felt so welcomed and our twin bedded en-suite room was so comfortable and warm. We looked forward to a delicious breakfast and met over the month some wonderful people over the breakfast table Room was made up every day and there was a warm feeling to the surroundings. Such care taken over every object. Rosy, the owner, adds her own warmth and you could see how she cared for each visitor. We will be back Lesley and Peter
