Mercure Barnsley Tankersley Manor Hotel

We stayed in March 2024 had a good experience then, but this visit last weekend 11th May 24 was very disappointing we found the room dirty with insects crawling around under the bed, we asked to change room which we did but found the same problem which i pointed out to the night receptionist, he came up with a 3rd room clean luckily at midnight, now very tired we slept well and spoke to reception at check out who offered us a complimentary Breakfast which was nice but doesn't make you want to return again if the rooms are presented to you so dirty please see photos i did write to the hotel manager on 13th May but as yet have received NO reply

Tankersley is our go-to venue for conferences/meetings. Their customer service is exceptional and they have a brilliant team who will always go the extra mile to ensure we are well-looked after. Thank you to Jake, Abi, Holly and every other member of the team for our week-long stay - I know it wasn't easy looking after all 60-odd of us!

We would like to thank the Tankersley for a great 2 days, using their conference rooms and all facilities, a particular thanks to Jake, Luke, Abi and Summer. The food, service and the rooms were all excellent and ideal if you are thinking of a company / conference meeting. We would not hesitate to hold our events at the Tankersley Manor Hotel.

Our group had an excellent stay at Tankersley Manor. Rooms were clean and spacious, facilities including leisure centre and bar were very good and we enjoyed a varied selection of meals in the Manor Suite. Hollie arranged everything superbly, meeting all our requests - nothing was ever too much trouble!

We had our wedding in the Pennine Suite on Saturday 8th June. Jess was our wedding co-ordinator from the initial booking up until the wedding itself and we cannot thank her enough, she explained everything clearly and answered any questions that we had super quickly. She made sure everything we had asked for was communicated back to the wedding team and helped with contacting our suppliers. Our co-ordinator on the day was Abigail and she was perfect, we could not have wished for anyone better. She communicated between me and the groom to make sure everything ran as it should. She kept me up to date throughout the day, we even had to have an ambulance call out for a family member and it was handled brilliantly. From the ceremony through to the last dance it was everything we wished for and more. All the wedding team to the reception and bar staff go above and beyond, and we cannot fault a single thing. If you're thinking about a wedding at Tankersley Manor, we highly recommend!

Beautiful stay for a family wedding. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the breakfast crew Julie, Beth, Claire and Rhiannon in the restaurant during the evening. Mum also enjoyed a relaxing facial and massage at the spa!
