This hotel should be the benchmark for all other hospitality venues. Staff were trained and immaculate, so smart. Staff were attentive and more than polite. Hotel, including room were very clean. Beautiful flower arrangements every day in the hotel. Food was award winning and very good value for money. I would go back to this hotel time and time again.

This was my third visit in 6 months, which speaks for itself! This hotel feels like a home from home now. The lovely bedroom overlooking the estuary, the friendly staff and great service from all venues make this hotel special. The food is also very good. It makes an excellent base to visit my North Devon family.

Staff excellent, superb dining, comfortable and clean rooms, great position for walking along the river or wandering around the streets of Barnstable. Our favourite Brend Hotel.

Have been a regular guest here for many years & always made to feel very welcome .it's well situated for visiting various attractions plus has some lovely walks & a busy town to look around the food at the hotel keeps on improving it's excellent well done all .look forward to my next visit

We are regular visitors and the Imperial is our favourite hotel. Good position near the town, ample parking, lovely friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast, lovely restaurant with fine dining, beautiful rooms, nothing not to like. It is a hotel that tends to cater for more elderly guests though so the style may not be appreciated by younger guests. We love it and are returning again later in the year.

My wife and I stayed for five days. Everything about our stay was first class -- the location of the hotel, the car parking arrangements, the comfortable and well eqipped bedroom, the spacious and elegant public areas, the food and, in every aspect, the charm and efficiency of the staff.
