Hotel Dann Carlton Barranquilla

The hotel is in a prime location in Bartanquilla, close to one of the main shopping centres (Buena Vista). The staff is super friendly and courteous. The hotel rooms are getting a bit outdated. But still okay. I will recommend this hotel as over all isn't bad. The breakfast buffet is fantastic!!

Check in was super slow, just 1 person at reception made checking in a big waste of time. The room was ok, a bit dated already. The water from the shower took ages to be hot and sometimes it didnt even went very hot. Breakfast was ok, not Amazing but had most of what youd expect although the restaurant itself had zero ambience, same as the lobby, not a nice place. big plain simple areas. Nothing alusive to the country.. or the city or the culture.. sad place. Bed was good and pillows also. Mini bar was well stuffed.

First the good: cheap. Food’s not terrible. Maintenance, very bad, check-in and check-out takes for ages even if you already paid . At checkout they have to call someone to check you haven’t stolen anything . Toilet doesn’t work, towels and pillows whereVERY old. Soap like in bulk - everything looks cheap. Employees are very nice and friendly. But overall the hotel should be an average 4 star, far from a 5 star.
