West Point House

What a fabulous place! The room was lovely, beautifully presented, the kitchen is so well equipped and spotlessly clean and a large comfortable lounge and garden area. When i booked I had my reservations as it is listed as contractors accommodation , so I had to trust in the great reviews it receives. It is as good as any hotel I have stayed in for a lot more money, I just had the best weekend there and will definitely return. The staff are just the best and clearly work hard at presenting this very well organised and spotlessly clean accommodation. Walney Island is lovely feels remote along the coastal area but close enough to walk to Barrow in under a hour or there is a very good bus service. Get off at West Point, cross the road and go through Eden Ave and just follow the road round. Barrow town is surprisingly nice with a lot of shops and cafes and great bus service into the Lake District area of Ulverston and Windermere and British Rail connections .

Really comfortable and very clean. The garden was beautiful and the staff were really friendly. The location was in a good place and really close to the beaches.Tbe wife loved it. Will definitely visit again.

Brilliant introduction to glamping! Lovely staff. Pods and surroundings very neat and tidy with all the comforts. All essentials provided. Lovely atmosphere and a brilliant place for a few days off. And only a ten minute walk to the beech. Would definitely visit again!

I have traveled all over and found West Point House Barrow in Furnace to be one of the best self catering accommodations I’ve stayed in great facilities and spotless, very helpful staff will definitely stay there again

Booked here at very short notice and on arrival had a very friendly, warm greeting from John. He showed around the hotel and informed us of the best local walks and places to eat. On returning from a very accessible walk around the close by nature reserve we were met by Rachael, who was just as friendly and helpful and had put extra biscuits in our room along with tea, coffee, etc. Our room was very clean and the brand new towels were soft and warm after a lovely hot shower.
