Wonderful hotel with lots of nice perks. Beautiful breakfast with a good range of fresh produce to choose from. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Although it is 3star hotel it provides slippers and bathrobes, mini bar is free, iron is provided in an ironing room. Breakfast has good options, incl gluten free bagels and decaf coffee. Staff is extraordinary friendly and helpful. Garage is small so recommend to reserve a spot in advance, it has one spot for electric vehicle. There seems to be electric bikes for hire, but I did not inquire about it. I had a very nice stay and would recommend it. Rooms have ventilators, no air conditioning. Only minor minis is noise from the street, I had a room towards the street, which was nice & the street is not too busy but still you can hear traffic with open window. I personally prefer very hard mattress, the hotel has medium soft/ hard mattress so it was not perfect for me, but I had ok sleep for 3 nights and no back pain.

My husband and I had a 3 night stay with another couple. The rooms were very pleasant, although they were very warm. The breakfast was delicious, with both hot and cold food and a very good variety of choice. The breakfast staff were delightful and very helpful, as were the reception staff. It is easy to get into town over the river on the tram.

Nettes kleines Hotel, zentral gelegen aber trotzdem relativ ruhig (zumindest die Zimmer zum Hof), sehr freundliche hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter und ein tolles Frühstück. Besonders angenehm: die Kaffeemaschine mit Kaffee, Cappuccino, Tees etc. steht den Gästen 24/7 kostenlos zur Verfügung.

Wir sind schon vormittags angereist und durften das Auto bereits in die Tiefgarage stellen, sogar das Zimmer war schon bereit. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel hat eine warme, sehr angenehme A**osphäre. Wir haben und sehr wohlgefühlt. Der Garten im hinteren Teil ist sehr schön und ein Kontrast zur Strasse beim Hoteleingang. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Grösse für unseren Kurzaufenthalt absolut angemessen. Leider war der Raum bei Ankunft recht warm, dies konnte aber durch öffnen der Fenster und einschalten des vorhandenen Ventilators behoben werden. Das Frühstückbuffet lies bei uns keine Wünsche offen und dies obwohl wir erst kurz vor Ende der Frühstückszeit Essen gingen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our hotel stay met all our expectations and then some. The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet which is served in a glass garden room included excellent food and peaceful surrounding. The hotel is located within walking distance of the old city and many other sites. We found the walk from the train station very easy. In the Wettsteinplatz, just west of the hotel we found great food at both the Sutter Begg Bakery and Prego Restaurant. The latter make an phenomenal pizza.

Very nice, helpful staff. Very clean room, quiet. Minibar stocked and free. Central location to get to any part of the city quickly. The included Baselcard allows you to visit museums for half price - fantastic.

Really pleasant stay at Hotel Wettstein. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was compact, but well designed and spotless. We would definitely stay again on a visit to Basel.
