We had a deluxe room facing the patio (lounge courtyard). It was very quiet and nicely decorated. electr. Blinds, silent air conditioning, silent refrigerator with an extensive filling of drinks and snacks. A huge comfortable shower in a bright clean glass to high ceiling bathroom. (With a white, airy, light curtain that can be drawn as desired, you could ensure more discretion. The whole hotel is beautifully and modernly furnished. Coffee is available in the rooms and in the foyer through Nespresso machines. The staff throughout the house is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extensive with a lot of choice. There was a choice of delicious filter coffee and Nespresso at the machine.

Such a great location--walking distance to the old town! The staff is super friendly, making us feel really welcomed; the accommodations are lovely, clean and comfortable; breakfast is delicious! I highly recommend The Passage if you plan to visit Basel.

Schönes, modernes Hotel, freundlicher Empfang, guter Service, gepflegte, schicke Zimmer, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ruhig, weil zum Innenhof gehend, großes Bad, tolle Lage am Rande der Altstadt, ruhig, und trotzdem alles fußläufig, sehr gutes Frühstück! Parken ist auch kein Problem, gleich gegenüber ist ein Parkhaus, das einen Ausgang auf der Straßenseite zum Hotel hat. Jederzeit zu empfehlen!

This is the best value hotel in Switzerland. It is clean, convenient and the staff are friendlier and more helpful than the staff at any 5-star hotel. The rooms are basic but large, airy and comfortable. The gym and the spa are first-rate. Most important of all, the shower pressure is the best I have experienced since the 90’s!!! I stayed at the 5-star Buar Au Lac in Zurich the week before and prefer this hotel hands down. Could not recommend The Passage more highly.

Hôtel contemporain bien placé, à proximité de la très jolie vieille ville de Bâle et des commodités (Gare, parkings). Nous y revenons toujours avec plaisir. Les chambres sur l’arrière sont calmes, confortables, bien équipées et d’une propreté impeccable. Mention particulière aussi avec la salle de sports. Très bon rapport qualité / prix.

Piccolo hotel curato, camere tranquille e ottima colazione. Avevamo riservato una camera al piano terra vista patio ma ci hanno dato una camera più piccola al secondo piano con vista sulla strada, si sentiva un po'il rumore del traffico! Siamo comunque stati molto bene, torneremo volentieri la prossima volta!
