Premier Inn Basildon (Festival Park)

Nice place to stay over night , doesn’t have any local shops nearby , but it is not a problem. Such as many restaurants within 10 min walk

Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. Very comfortable and I had an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was pretty decent and a good choice was on offer. My only issue was the keycard didn’t work for my room and despite changing it the new one also didn’t work so I had to rely on the staff to let me into my room. The fire alarm also went off just as I stepped out the shower, apparently someone vaping in their room All in all though I’d stay here again.

Overall good value for money , Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms , bathroom , everything clean . Good bed to sleep in . It is a bed for the night , watch a bit of tv then sleep and good area for breakfast . Lots of restaurants in the area to choose from , so no need to have a built in evening meal area . The Green king Quays is only a few yards and plenty choice on the menu . otherwise lots of chain restaurants and more

Premier Inn Festival Park charged me three times for Breakfast. I called the hotel directly to sort it out and after a 6 minute call, they admitted they had made a mistake but said I need to contact "Guest Relations" to actually get a refund. I rang the number supplied and there was no answer for ages. Eventually, when they answered they offered a refund of the money taken in error (£21.98) and told me that I would not actually get the money back for a further 15 working days, despite the fact that they should never have taken the money in the first place. I expected to be refunded immediately for an error of this kind - Payments to Premier Inn are processed immediately, so there is no reason that refunds cannot be processed immediately too. This call took me 46 minutes.

Travelled down from Scotland for an overnight stay and the hotel was lovely. Very clean, very comfortable and very central to the main part of my trip. The staff were lovely and helpful and pleasant. The breakfast in the morning aas fab, good choice and the staff were brilliant. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Probably the worst premier inn we have ever been to, and we’ve stayed at several over the years. We stayed in room 10 (family room). The table lamp on the desk wasn’t working and the lighting in the bathroom was terrible! Only 2 lights in it and you could barely see yourself in the mirror! The shower was horrific and the temperature fluctuated so much, I was either scalding myself or freezing myself! We wouldn’t dream of showering our children in there! The sink was blocked, so anything more than a quick rinse of the hands caused the sink to block and for the water to go down! Surely the management/cleaning team would be aware of these issues??? Breakfast was running on skeleton staff, just one chef for the weekend and one front of house. Simply not good enough! Only positive was that the staff were friendly. However a lot more attention to detail needed and please employ more staff at breakfast! Would never stay here again!

Absolutely terrible place with no customer service Whitbread as a major company will not help you in regards to any query please take my advice and stay away. It ruined a lot by me staying at this hotel It made me a different person Stay away! No follow up whatsoever

The lane from the hotel to the local amenities was dangerous! It was covered in deep potholes which you couldn't see in the dark as it was unlit. I actually fell over because of a pothole! Fortunately i didn't injure myself but that was down to luck not judgement. Being dark i wouldn't want to see a lone female walking down there on her own as its a prime environment for a would be attacker. You really need to look at this. That lane would put me off recommending that location for anyone to stay which is a shame as it lets everything else down.

We eventually located this premier inn not the easiest place to find . But as soon as we arrived we had a lovely welcome from Lee and Courtney. Super helpful and very friendly, recommend restaurants just really lovely . Rooms are spotless, all round a great stay . Well done Courtney and Lee made it very special nothing too much trouble.
