Very good hotel with a friendly staff at the front desk. I enjoyed the location with beautiful views of the lighthouse(s) protecting the marina - the hotel is perched high up the hill, with an elevator to take you up and down to sea level should you choose not to climb it. Very clean and comfortable. My reason for a 4 star instead of 5 was the breakfast was lousy. Stale croissants, greying salamis, and cheese not in the best condition, and it cost Euro 25. I just recommend not eating there - plenty of places in town.

On se sent bien partout dans l'hôtel. L’ambiance est chaleureuse, classe sans tomber dans le luxe clinquant. L'accueil, les conseils, le service sont irréprochables. Les connaissances viticoles de la maîtresse de maison sont impressionnantes. Elle vous recommande de bonnes tables et d'agréables visites. La chambre est très agréable, extrêmement silencieuse. Optez pour les chambres avec balcon, cette différence vaut la peine. Restaurant délicieux. Attention les entrées sont très généreuses et donc à partager. Tout est fait maison !

Très bel hôtel avec vue imprenable sur le vieux port et la mer. Accueil efficace, propreté irréprochable. Petit déjeuner bien fourni, juste un effort à faire sur la qualité gustative du café (nous sommes un peu exigeants dans ce domaine). Très bon restaurant, bravo au chef pour notre dîner ! Sans oublier le service suivi en toute discrétion par une serveuse très sympathique.

Hôtel génial, super grand lit, espace bien être au top et petite piscine très agréable. Superbe vue de la chambre. Salle de bain très belle et spacieuse. Seul petit point noir la Clim qui soufflait du chaud même réglé à 20 dégrées toute la nuit alors qu’il faisait déjà très chaud dans la chambre.

We booked this hotel because of its positioning and beautiful unobstructed view of the sea. Our ferry arrived very late in the evening and there were no taxis in sight. We found an open cafe and they were kind enough to call a taxi for us. The hotel is definitely not an easy walk if you’re arriving by ferry (on foot) especially at night. Once at the hotel we were warmly greeted, and upgraded to a room that was a larger than we’d booked. The room was very clean and comfortable with a million dollar view. Breakfast was very nice and had a wide selection of breads and cakes, cheese, cereal etc., something for everyone. We took advantage of the fact that the hotel offered dinner and it was lovely! On a chilly evening they set up our table next to a clacking fireplace! Perfect! We ate there three out of four nights 😉 Our other choice for dinner was a three minute walk..so, you have choices. With regards to location, it was perfect for us, you can either walk down to the city centre or take the elevator to the promenade and stroll around the harbour. It’s about a 15 minute walk to town. We would highly recommend Hotel des Gouverneurs! Thank you for your hospitality 😊

Très belle chambre mais le sol de la douche est très dangereuse car imper glissante et risque de chute signalée à la réception car un enfant de 3 ans a lui aussi glissé il est urgent que l’hôtel remédie à ce risque car risque de chute avec fracture et leur responsabilité engagée sinon très bel hôtel et personnel sympa

Excellent hotel, right above the sea. It's a little hard to find if you're walking but we had a friendly gentleman show us the way. Quiet, well-appointed rooms, comfortable bed. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast buffet.

Magnifique hôtel, chambre avec balcon avec une décoration chaleureuse ou l on se sent comme à la maison et en bonus la vue mer a couper le souffle . Table savoureuse et raffinée et grâce au mauvais temps qui est exceptionnel en Corse, nous avons profité d’une jolie table avec cheminée. Tout le personnel était aux petits soins et attentif . Quant à la direction, elle donne une vraie âme à cet établissement, félicitations. Belle rencontre humaine et magnifique lieu. Bravo et respect

Zero responsiveness from the front desk staff. We called and left a message to ask where to park our car and never received a call back. When I asked the staff, the woman became defensive and said that I never called. Another front desk clerk said she will look for a nearby restaurant for dinner and called back after an hour and a half, close to dinner time. Everyone from the staff seemed completely checked out.
