Staff ist very friendly and helpful.
The AC is pretty annoying and does not react to control input, such as lowering the vent.
Breakfast is business standard, nothing to be proud of. Coffee is quite good though.

I’m a big believer in TripAdvisor but I have no idea how this hotel is #1. Arrived late and clerk seemed annoyed to help us at midnight. Was not acknowledged as a Hilton Gold member or offered water. In fact she charged for it when we asked for one. Parking across the st in the garage is fine but if I was a single lady I’d be terrified. Outlets in room were loose and would barely stay plugged in. Gym was closed due to renovations. It’s not awful, just your average Hampton Inn. Breakfast was fine, but there is no way this is the best hotel in town. We definitely prefer the watermark down the road if you need to stay downtown.

This was a spacious and clean hotel, creating an opportunity for my kids and I to really spread out after having a cramped hotel room in another city prior to our visit. The continental breakfast was good, and there was lots of space in the breakfast area, making it one of the least congested hotel breakfast spaces I've ever been in. The elevators were fast, and the parking was ample.

The bed nearest the window in 727 the foundation of the bed was broken, we’d been traveling all day and were too tired to move. Being there for a graduation our time was tight, and we stayed busy. The bed was a huge problem

Since daughter is attending LSU grad school I’ve had the opportunity to stay at this hotel 3x in past 6 months and each visit has been a great experience. Very friendly and accommodating staff (Wilamena ran a very efficient breakfast area and was great with all the guests). Location is good for easy walks to any downtown destination; convenient parking in garage across the street. Would highly recommend if coming to Baton Rouge.

Where to start...
1. Cleanliness...Room was dirty. Dirt and smudges on all the walls that could easily be wiped off. Curtains had layers of diet and filth at the bottoms of them. Hair from previous guests in tub, sink and toilet. Drawers had dust and worse, red sticky stuff that kept my family living out of suitcases.
2. PTAC (a/c)...Control was on the wall. Panel was dead. No batteries in the unit. Fixed, but panel still didnt work. Able to adjust temp on unit, but that failed during the night. Room was hot and stuffy. No fix.
3. Linens...Didnt have enough. Thankfully front desk fixed issue and brought more.
4. Disrepair...Closet was unusable. They put a makeshift door up, but because it was made for a large doorway, you could only open it about 12 inches on either side, rendering the closet unsuable. Maintenance room shared a wall with our room. There was an alarm that was never silenced allday and all night for.thr three days we.were there. Stairwell had lighting that was out going to the first floor.
