Extended Stay America Select Suites - Baton Rouge - Citiplace

From the time I checked in until the time I checked out I felt like it was home away from home. They were very accommodating and always had a heart warming welcome. The rooms were nice and clean upon check in and the house keeper Consuela was always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed! I would definitely stay here again anytime!

Great customer service

We got there late at night because it was after a Mardi Gras Ball, and I figured this hotel would be decent due to it's location but I was wrong. There was no front desk person and no signage instructing us how to check in. After calling the number on the website, someone came down to check us in. When we got to the room, it had very obviously not been cleaned (sheets on one of the beds in disarray, used washcloth on the sink, absolutely disgusting toilet). Since the person that checked us in had probably closed up and went back upstairs as it was 3am we didn't want to bother her and just slept on the clean made bed. The whole hotel smells like a mix of mildew, cigarette, and pot smoke. Giving them one extra star because both staff members we interacted with were very friendly and pleasant but I will not be staying here again.

The room was filthy and uncleaned. The staff was indifferent about our unpleasant experience. We didn't feel safe because of the people loitering around just inside the doorways and in the parking lot at night afterthe office was closed. There's no over night staff to insure the safety of the residents of the hotel. The fire alarm went off during the night and there was no one around to insure us that there was no fire and if it was safe. When asked about amenities they said they were out. We had a room that had evidence that a smoker had been there before us. The elevators were not working when we arrived. They didn't call for them to be serviced until three days later. I will never be staying at any Extended Stay America in the future.

The rooms heater was not working it was 27 degrees last night outside , the room was very cold . Try to contact front desk but no one ever answered. Room was very dirty , sheets were stained and there was a white powder substance on the table . Room also had a very bad smell .

Extremely dirty. Shower had hair and mold it almost every screw or fixture had rust on it possible spit or some other bodily fluid on wall. Highly do not recommended staying let alone extending your stay

Smelly and Nasty The hotel carpet in the hallway leading to rooms is smelly and filthy. The room bath tub very dirty. The kitchen was dirty and refrigerator was banged up, the desk chair was soiled and dirty, the carpet had holes in it in the room. The area to hang your clothes had rust on it. It was just grossed. We check in and out within minutes of the hotel.

We arrived after 11PM, and found the check-in desk completely closed; a metal pull-down gate sealed the counter. We had to use the phone in the entry (which is between two sets of glass doors) to call for a front desk attendant. The phone should be on the desk with sign that instructs what to do when there is no one at the check-in desk. The room was missing the t.v. remote control. There were no hand towels, and there wasn't a tissue box. The fridge was beaten up & dented. We were also informed that that there was no complementary breakfast, as it was advertised in the room's listing, on *******. Although the room was mostly clean, and the staff was friendly, the lack of the above mentioned accommodations made it a somewhat disappointing stay. My experience with Extended Stay Suites in other cities was much better than this one. Therfore, I do not recommend this hotel.

Office was not open 90% of the time we were there and was told that we were allowed one towel per person unless we wanted to pay for extra. There was no soap, shampoo or anything in the bathroom or small sink. What a joke of a property and is not as advertised
